the Sully kids' reaction to Jake saying Spider "knew everything" breaks my heart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
they knew him better than anyone else, better than their parents. they knew his love for Eywa, for Pandora, for The People, for the clan, for their family. they knew he would never tell the RDA anything... not willingly at least.
they knew they were leaving because Spider would be tortured for information, he'd be forced to reveal their home, their plans, their numbers, their weaknesses. their brother would be tortured and they were being forced to leave him behind.
they knew they were being forced to find a new home, without their brother, because their dad knew he would be tortured.

Pair: Neteyam x Human!reader (sully family, others na'vi)
Warning: Neytiri being a bit(a lot) controlling, forced pairing, cozy moments, comfort moments, All characters are adults.
Note: I had this draft half done, and decided to finish it today. Let's see what you think, I left it open ended. If it's received good feedback I'll continue…it's a short story. But how did you find it so far?
AVATAR MASTERLIST | Ko-fi
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4[final]
Tumblr media
Returning to the Omaticaya clan, where Neytiri was born, grew up and raised her children, was the best thing she could have done. After the confrontation with the RDA, things seemed to calm down. After a year of living in the Metkayina clan, the Sullys returned to their clan in the jungle. They were accepted immediately and things seemed to be running smoothly. But lately something was making neytiri anxious, and it was the future of her children. Tuk and kiri were still very young, they were just starting to live, lo'ak was still in training, he was not far away from becoming a man. But neteyam was already a man, he was at the perfect age to find a mate and make a family of his own. And neytiri was going to handle this. She wanted neteyam to make a good choice, neteyam was next in line to be Olo'eyktan. As the son of toruk makto, that was a position he had to take, and he had to have a good partner by his side. The mate neteyam chose also chose the position he wanted to belong to, and neytiri wanted him to have the best place in this clan.
Neytiri was given the task of introducing them to the best women in the clan, and with the best references. Many girls were after neteyam and she knew it…she had heard how the girls talked about how amazing and handsome her son was, but neytiri had to find the girl she found perfect. But whenever she introduced a new girl to neteyam he would just say hello…talk to her for a few minutes and that was it. He showed no interest in them, it was as if another ordinary clan member was talking to him. But this did not stop neytiri, that was until she met Lekka. She was a majestic na'vi, she was very beautiful. Not to mention how skilled she was at hunting, a true warrior. Neytiri thought that this girl would be the perfect match for her eldest son, besides the girl had told him that she was very attracted to neteyam and that she was interested in him. So neytiri took this sign as a good opportunity to introduce them both to each other.
Today was a hunting party, neteyam with the Na'vi hunting party had a good day. The hunt had been a success, and they were having a small celebration in the clan, just outside the hallelujah caves. A nice hidden place and perfect for carrying on the omaticaya traditions. The whole clan was there, including some humans. Of course, the Omaticaya clan already had to coexist with the good humans, who had helped them fight this battle between species. The laughter, the dancing filled the atmosphere with peacefulness…neteyam was with his group of friends, moving away for a moment to get a drink. It wasn't until he bumped into his mother. -"Neteyam I glad you're here," said neytiri, next to her was this girl, lekka. Neteyam had to admit she was very pretty. But… he wasn't impressed. -"Hi mom…" neteyam speaks nervously, he already knew where his mother was coming from. It wasn't the first time she introduced him to a na'vi girl. Neytiri laughs a little, taking the girl's arm to bring her closer to Neteyam. - "May I introduce you to lekka, she is the daughter of telup" speaks neytiri. Neteyam makes the 'I see you' sign waving to the girl.
Neteyam could see how nervous the woman was, she was shaking a little bit. And she was looking down, he felt a little sorry for these girls. Her mother always put them in this embarrassing situation. -"Nice to meet you… it's a pleasure. My name is neteyam" neteyam speaks. -"Yes… I've heard a lot about you," says Lekka with a trembling voice. Neytiri apologizes to the couple of guys, telling them that she was going to go get more food, but it was a pretend to leave them alone. According to her everything was going as she had planned. Neytiri proudly approaches the group that was waiting for her and watching from afar. Mo'at, Tsu'tey, Jake were looking at her walking towards them, with a big smile on her face. Neytiri approaches and sits down next to Jake. -"And what do you do now?" asks Mo'at, the woman didn't have to look at her daughter to know that she had done something. -"Me? nothing…the essentials," says neytiri, she is proud of her work, she has just introduced an amazing girl to her son.
"You know that's not going to work, right?" says mo'at. Listening as neytiri chokes a little on her drink. "Mother what are you talking about, of course I do" says neytiri, looking to jake for support. But he just shifts his gaze, trying not to be included in the conversation. On the other hand tsu'tey looks curiously at the two women. "You're trying to get neteyam together with that girl…you can tell he doesn't like her. Besides…this trying to get together never works, look at you," says mo'at. Now it was jake's turn to choke, but from laughter. He knew mo'at was referring to how he and neytiri met. Meanwhile tsu'tey made a groan of annoyance and leaned back on the log behind him. - "I witnessed that, and I agree with mo'at" complains tsu'tey watching as jake continues to laugh.
"Hey…but this is different. Neteyam is different, I know what I'm doing" says neytiri, sitting up more in her seat. She was getting upset, no one in her family understood her. But she wanted neteyam to make the right choice and take her rightful place again. "Love…I know why you're doing this, but it's not necessary. Neteyam will eventually find a girl he likes, you should leave him alone" jake says, but he can see how neytiri is looking at him with a pout. Grimacing for him to keep quiet, jake just laughs a little and keeps drinking. he knew neytiri was stubborn and didn't care what anyone else thought, she was going to do it. Jake watches as neteyam is talking to the girl. You could see how uncomfortable he was, fidgeting a little. His tail was curled up at his heels and he glanced at the group of friends from time to time. - "He looks very nervous," says tsu'tey, he was also looking at the boy. - "Why is he…neytiri" speaks mo'at, looking at his daughter. Neytiri rolls her eyes, and now looks at her son. She clearly noticed how uncomfortable the boy was, but she supposed it was normal. He had never talked to that girl before, he might be nervous because of how cute she was. -"They look good together," says Neytiri. - "Yes they look good…but he doesn't look good" jake grimaces, the interaction his oldest son was now having with that girl was horrible.
"Mo'at?" y/n taps the woman's shoulder, getting her attention. - "Oh, what's wrong?" says mo'at, turning to look at you. All the group's attention was now on you. -"I'm going to go rest, I've finished doing the chores you told me to do," you say, laughing a little.
You had been one of the human children born here in Pandora, just like Spider. And it was normal for you to have interacted with the na'vi from an early age… but while spider preferred to be playing with the sully children, you preferred to go look for fun elsewhere. And that's where you met mo'at, the woman noticed how every day you would go to her hut and watch her in awe as she worked. Or when she was doing her daily chores, you always followed her. She never complained about you, you were quiet and calm, so your presence pleased her. One day mo'at invited you to approach her, and that's when you started asking questions. Which surprised mo'at, you were a very intelligent child, for such a young age. Something told mo'at that she had to help you, and accept you. So she dedicated herself to become your guardian…she would teach you, take care of you and make you join the clan. She would never be your mother, but she would care for you like one.
"Oh thanks, I'll look at the results later" says mo'at, stroking your hand a little. -"Hey, why don't you stay a bit to celebrate… kiri is over there," says jake, waiting for you to accept. You had grown up with his children, you were practically a daughter to him. For some reason, neytiri had no problem with you when you were around his children, she thought you were good. But only that. -"mmm no thanks, I want to go rest" you apologize, and say goodbye to everyone. Starting your way to the lab. -" She has helped you a lot, hasn't she?" speaks tsu'tey, looking at mo'at. The woman was still looking at you from afar, with a proud look. - "You know…she has a great future. She's smart and a quick learner," mo'at says. -And not only in the medical field…in technology she is amazing, you have to see how she helps norm, she is very smart" says jake. Everyone is silent for a moment. -"Besides…she's a very sweet girl, she's good" says mo'at while he continues eating. Neytiri doesn't say anything, she just listens curiously and then turns all her attention to her son neteyam. When she looked, she saw that the boy was no longer there. Instead there was a lekka alone, waiting for the boy to return. Neytiri stood up quickly, approaching the girl. "Where is neteyam?" asked Neytiri, looking around to see if she could find her son. -"I don't know…he said he was going to look for something, and he hasn't come back," says Lekka. Neytiri was going crazy, she didn't know what she was going to do with that boy.
Tumblr media
After talking to mo'at, you decided to go to your favorite place. You knew you had told mo'at you were going to rest, but you didn't dare tell her where you were really going to go or do. Walking secretly, as you went deeper into the jungle, you thanked Pandora's nature for being so bright. It was a spectacle for your eyes, walking faster to get to your secret place. Not far away, about 20 minutes walk, there was a crashed plane. You were sure that it was from the first war that the RDA had with the clan, because it was very deteriorated, and the first time you had found it you had to clean some skeletons that were still inside. After a while this had become your secret place. You reached the entrance of the plane, opening it carefully… pushing open a door you had made out of metal. Entering and pointing at it as you closed the door. Approaching a machine you had created not long ago, stretching the rope so that it would turn on and start doing its job, oxygenating the area. This machine allowed the air around it to be clean and safe for you to breathe, at least 10 feet away. The plane had some closed areas, so that the good oxygen didn't get out, but still the pandora's air came in. But still, it was safe for you.
This was the best thing you did…invent. As Norm used to say, you were a little box of surprises, always inventing things and improving others. Since you were little you had been like that, your head was full of ideas and this hideout was the representation of that. Although it didn't have the best structure and your goal was to sign it completely, you were still working on it. Taking off your oxygen mask, placing it on the wall. To start getting more comfortable, he had to be here before long. Or so you thought, looking out the broken window a little. Not getting too close, without leaving your safe zone. You see that no one is around. You sit down near a small table you had down at night, starting to work on the new oxygen mask prototype you were making. You were so busy, you didn't hear the first knocking on the front door. Knock, knock, knock… the knocking got louder and you panicked. Keeping silent, and turning off the lights you had on.
Carefully approaching the door, to see who it was. -"Hey…baby it's me" you hear his voice, and smile a little relieved that it was him. You turn on all the lights and open the door quickly, meeting the boy. Neteyam was at the entrance, looking around, making sure no one was watching him. -"Hey get in quick…the air is getting thinner," you say, taking his hand and pushing him into the plane. Neteyam laughs as he enters carefully, lowering his head as he passes through the door. As soon as he enters, he can feel you wrap your arms around his neck, trapping him in a soft kiss. Giggling against your lips, as he holds you around the waist. Sitting carelessly on the floor. - "Y/N…love" neteyam was laughing, as you pull away caressing his face. Arranging his hair, looking at him carefully, studying his mood. He looked somewhat exhausted and overwhelmed…something seemed to be bothering him. -Are you upset?" you ask, watching as Neteyam lays his head on your chest.
He was sitting on the floor and you were standing between his legs. This allowed a perfect height for him to lie on top of you. -"I am… but it's not you," says Neteyam, as you hug his head closer to your chest. - "Well…anytime you want to talk about it, I'm here," you say. He closes his eyes for a moment, then pulls away from you. "hey, take this," neteyam pulls out of his small pouch, a piece of food that he had wrapped in a leaf. -I saw that you left quickly…you haven't eaten anything," says Neteyam, watching as you take the piece of food and walk away from him, sitting down right in front of him. "Mmmm yeah…I was going to eat with you, but…you looked busy" you open the leaf, but neteyam could see your raised eyebrows. -"Oh, that…this is lekka…you know how my mom is about introducing me to girls" says neteyam, taking your foot in his hands to start massaging it. He didn't want you to bother with him, he wasn't to blame.
"mmm she's very beautiful, I've heard how good she is" you speak, taking a bite of the meat. Now looking up to see neteyam, he was looking at you with a soft smile on his lips. His little eyes are sparkling, as if he is looking at the most beautiful thing in this universe. -"But she's not as beautiful as you…you know that," says neteyam, watching you grimace. Trying not to laugh or choke. Neteyam reaches out his hand, to wipe some sauce from your lips. - "I'm serious… you are so beautiful in my eyes" says the boy, leaving you speechless. He always left you speechless.
You two had grown up together, although you preferred to be with mo'at. You also went to play with spider and the sully boys. Even when you were growing up you preferred to be with neteyam, nothing ever happened. You were just good friends, it wasn't until neteyam had to leave the clan that you noticed that your feelings for him were much greater. Just like neteyam, you promised each other that you would see each other again. And so he kept it, when he returned to the clan the first person neteyam went to look for was you. From then on you had not separated, starting this relationship on the quiet. You used to meet here on the plane, and only here you could be together. Outside you were just good friends…but here is your secret hiding place, you were yourselves. This situation was time consuming, and sometimes it could be exhausting for the two of you.
After eating, and making jokes about hunting neteyam. You both decided to lie down and talk for a while. Neteyam was leaning back in a rather large chair in the plane. While you were lying between his legs, with your back against his chest. Netayam was holding your hand, playing with your fingers, looking at how strange and beautiful they were at the same time. - "Hey…did you notice that now the walls of the plane are sitting more" you speak, listening as Netayam answers you with a 'hmm'. - "I won't close all the windows though, so you can still get your air in and be comfortable in here" you speak. - "you're great baby… I don't know how you have all these ideas" says neteyam, kissing your hair. "I don't know, it's just natural" you laugh, feeling Neteyam wrap his arms around your torso. To pull you closer to him, kissing your shoulder. Lately you had been wearing the na'vi outfit that kiri had given you, and neteyam loved it. He could feel you better this way, without the horrible human clothes you used to wear.
"Baby… how about if you stay to sleep with me here…today?" asks neteyam, you can feel how his tail gives you some taps on your feet. He felt nervous about your answer, it wasn't the first time neteyam proposed this to you, but you always denied it. Saying that norm was waiting for you in the lab. It was partly true, but not that much. -"Mmm I'm not sure" you start to speak, but neteyam interrupts you. -"It would only be today… I don't want to leave you" neteyam hugs you more tightly. Norm wasn't necessarily expecting you, but you knew he was going to ask a lot of questions the next day. Just like neteyam, he knew what he was expecting and even more so coming from his mother. But he didn't really care, he wanted to rest with you, to spend more time with you.
You think about it for a moment… it would be fine if you stayed here. This place was perfectly equipped, besides… you also wanted to stay with him like this. - "Well… it's okay. But we have to get up early, ok" you look up, seeing how neteyam was giving you a big smile. In one swift movement neteyam, grabs you by the waist and lifts you up to get on top of you. You were all giggles, feeling him start to kiss your neck, and chest. "I'm at your service sweetheart" neteyam says excitedly, lying on top of you letting his head rest on your breasts. Breathing deeply of your scent, wrapping his arms all over your body. Sometimes he could forget that he was almost twice your size, and that lately he had grown muscularly. -"You're crushing me," you tease, feeling him release you. -"I'm sorry" he laughs, kissing your lips one last time before settling back. You were his safe haven in this world.
In the hut…
"Hey, have you seen neteyam?" neytiri asks jake. They had gone to sleep very late, noticing that they had never seen neteyam return. Neteyam was still with them in the family hut, although he could go and do whatever he wanted. Noticing that all the kids had arrived but him. "No, maybe he went off to do something else, or he's with someone else," said Jake, not really paying attention to what he said, he was too busy sharpening his knives. But this made neytiri even more curious and she started to think. Maybe neteyame saw lekka again, and she told neytiri that she hadn't seen him so she wouldn't be embarrassed. Or was neteyam with another girl? Or he was getting tired. Neytiri didn't want to look like a stalker mother, but she had to know what was going on in her eldest son's head.
P.S What do you think of this story? I would like to know what you think. <3

the list
neteyam sully x fem!metkayina!reader
summary: the boys find out about you and the girls making lists
warnings: fluff!! tooth rotting sweet fluff, mutual pinning, this is really dumb but it popped into my head and i had to write it
aged up!everyone (although not specific, tuk is not included)
Tumblr media
“what are you doing?”
you cocked your eyebrow at your sister, tsireya.
she giggled, kicking her feet as kiri sat next to her with tuk on her other side. tsireya's best friend, seyozewa, sat across from them.
“making lists.”
“about..?” you questioned, trying to peek at the piece of paper.
“the boys, of course!” tuk laughed, her innocent mind oblivious to it.
you snatched the paper from the ground, making tsireya groan out.
your eyes scanned the document, seeing an arrangement of names from the tribe.
“what- what are the rankings for?”
you were very confused as you handed the paper back to your sister.
“based on cuteness,” kiri explained. she shrugged up at you.
“that is what children do, tsireya.”
“come on, y/n! join us!” seyozewa begged. the pleading only worsened as kiri, tuk, and tsireya joined in.
“alright, fine.” you grinned, sitting amongst the girls in the marui pod.
your list arranged something like: neteyam, jake, lo’ak, roxto, and a few other metkayina boys.
while tsireya’s differed: lo’ak, neteyam, roxto, and others.
kiri’s was not as long as she had only been in the village for a short time, but her’s consisted of: rotxo, ao’nung, and another boy she had met.
seyozewa's was: rotxo, neteyam, ao'nung, lo'ak, and some other boys and a couple of girls.
“wait- is that my father on your list, y/n?” kiri asked out in shock.
“what?” you shyly asked, making the girls burst out laughing.
the laughter was heard by the boys as they recollected after a swim, the marui pod filled with noise they heard from afar.
“shall we go see what they’re doing?” neteyam asked curiously.
roxto shrugged. “probably girl stuff.”
you all quickly hid your lists when you heard approaching footsteps. the boys had returned, dripping with water.
the sight of neteyam made you blush.
“what are you guys up to?” lo’ak cocked an eyebrow, eyeing the silent group suspiciously.
"nothing." you all said in unison.
"right, because that's not suspicious." your brother rolled his eyes.
"shush, ao'nung." you stood now, shoving your brother over slightly.
"tuk, what were they doing?" neteyam leaned down to his little sister, her adolescent mind happy at the sight of her big brother.
"we were making lists!" she answered.
kiri and tsireya choked on air as you ran a hand over your face. the boys all stared at the three of you in confusion.
"lists about what?" lo'ak questioned.
"based on cuteness." tuk shrugged, causing neteyam to grin at his sister's blabber mouth.
he scratched the top of her head as she groaned, getting up and leaving you three in embarrassment.
"soooo, do we get to see the lists?" lo'ak wiggled his eyebrows at tsireya.
"absolutely not," you three answered.
"come on! that isn't fair!" rotxo urged.
"i think i have some chores to attend to." you tried to dismiss yourself, leaving out the marui pod (much to tsireya's dismay).
however, neteyam followed after you with curiosity in his face.
"was i on your list?" he asked, bumping his shoulder into yours.
"hmm, i don't know." you shrugged back, trying to hide the smile that threatened to creep onto your face.
"i will find out eventually." he grinned down at you, causing you to roll your eyes at him.
"how?" you hummed, throwing a net at him as he caught it perfectly.
"forest reflexes, baby."
you stuck your tongue out at him, using your tail to splash him as he gasped out.
"water reflexes, baby." you taunted back as he smirked at you.
➽─────────────────❥
but as the week went on and none of you girls would spill about the lists, it caused the boys to go insane.
you had all of them begging and pleading to at least reveal where they were on your lists, and while you all liked seeing them desperate, it was beginning to annoy you.
"we threw the lists away." you said, all the boys who sat down on little stools dropped their jaws.
neteyam watched your hips sway, a frown overcoming his features.
"but you still have a memory," rotxo piped up.
"you are all so irritating," you rolled your eyes.
"we are irritating? this whole thing would just be over if you just told us!" lo'ak spoke.
"it is called privacy." you bopped the younger sully on the nose, walking out of the marui pod. neteyam's eyes lingered on your waist and hips, loving how they swayed so smoothly.
"guys!" ao'nung gasped, finding pieces of paper hidden away in a chest tsireya had forgotten to lock.
"wait- i mean, should we really read them?" neteyam's underlying guilt was beginning to overtake his craving for knowledge.
"c'mon, bro. don't be a wuss, they won't know." lo'ak softly slapped his brother's chest as he rolled his eyes in response.
"big brother neteyam is getting soft on us," ao'nung teased.
"whatever."
neteyam went to leave, but ao'nung spoke once more.
"you are telling me you don't want to know where you are on my sister's list?"
neteyam pursed his lips together, instantly regretting when he turned around. ao'nung smirked as lo'ak passed around the lists.
"this is y/n, kiri, seyozewa, and tsireya."
rotxo's eyes scanned over seyozewa as ao'nung's searched kiri's. lo'ak couldn't contain his smile when he saw he was first on tsireya's list.
neteyam felt awful, but curiosity is a dangerous feeling, and he allowed himself to peek at your list.
his heart was stammering in his chest as he saw his name first. you, metkayina princess, thought he was the cutest out of the clan?
the boys were too interested in sharing results, they hadn't noticed your footsteps.
"hey, skxawngs (idiots)! what are you doing?" your voice scared them and they all went to hide the lists.
"don't tell me you read them." your face fell, the other girls now joining you.
"oh my eywa, that is so humiliating." seyozewa ran a finned hand down her pointed face.
mortified, you quickly left the marui pod as your face was extremely hot. neteyam was going to think you're a freak.
"y/n!" neteyam called after you, his three fingers wrapping around your wrist.
"i am sorry, i told them not to-"
"clearly not good enough, neteyam." you sighed, more embarrassed over the fact he knew you found him the most attractive.
neteyam scratched the back of his neck nervously, the beads in his braids clanging as he swayed his head.
"if it means anything, you would have been top of my list too."

aged up Neteyam x Human Reader - facing your fears
Tumblr media
Warnings: Neteyam is injured, so description of wounds, otherwise rather sweet (?), mention of fear of heights
Synopsis: You were gathering berries and herbs with a few other women of the tribe when suddenly an Ikran you know shows up and you have to face one of your fears in order to help your crush
Reader does not wear a breathing mask in this story. Let's just pretend that Eywa chose her and she got used to Pandora's air as a result. She's been living with the Sullys for a while now (since she was a child) and that just helped her breathe the Na'vi's oxygen.
It was a pleasant morning in Pandora and it was peaceful and quiet for the first time. No annoying Lo'ak constantly teasing you. Kiri, Spider and Tuk were playing in the camp and Neteyam was hunting. So you had a day to yourself, at least until you returned to camp at noon.
You were out collecting berries with some other females from the tribe. Of all the tribe's tasks, you enjoyed the gathering and healing ones the most. You had enjoyed exploring the forests and learning new things about the healing skills of the Na'vi.
The brothers were very different from you, especially Lo'ak. He was always looking for adventure and he really went along with and started all kinds of shit. Something you really liked about Neteyam again. He tried to be an adult and a good successor to his father.
But you often had to explain to him that it was okay to make mistakes and that everyone learns something new. It was okay that not everything was the way he wanted it to be. He had really thought a lot about whether he was suitable as an Olo'eyktan and whether he would ever be ready for it. But each time you had reassured him that he would make it. And he was more than grateful to you for standing by his side; his best friend.
You had known each other since you were little. Your mother was a doctor and even took care of the Na'vi. To the astonishment of the scientists, you gradually tolerated the air in Pandora without suffering any damage. The Omaticaya thought it was a sign from Eywa. Nevertheless, Neteyam was sceptical about you at first, but he quickly opened up to you when he realized how cute you were. At least that was what he thought as a child. As teenagers, you liked to get on each other's nerves. Oh how much he annoyed you sometimes and then one day you suddenly saw him from a different perspective.
The maturity he suddenly radiated. His mischievous grin and the open ear he always had for you. You spent so much time together, you couldn't remember a single second when you weren't together. His pretty, cat-like eyes floated around in your mind and you didn't notice the grin on your lips.
He grew into a stately Omaticaya and you slowly had to admit to yourself that you had feelings for the older one. He even wanted to take you with him on his ikran, but you refused. You were afraid of the height and he didn't push you. “Take your time,” he said at the time and that was two months ago now. Somehow you felt guilty that you hadn't gotten involved yet. I'm sure he would be happy because he loved flying and he wanted to share that love with you. You sighed. Your fingers clutched the basket, which was already half full of berries.
Suddenly there was a scream and you almost dropped your basket when you heard another familiar cry. You immediately turned around and saw the other women flinch in fear as a large, green ikran landed in the clearing. What do you mean, landed? It almost literally lunged into the clearing. The animal continued to scream and looked down at the women. You recognized this Ikran.
“Hey!” you shouted and immediately the creature's large head shot in your direction. The small pupils immediately widened as the ikran caught sight of you and you held out a hand reassuringly as you put the basket down.
“Hey, it's okay,” you say, not even sure if that was true yourself. Slowly and crouched, you approached the ikran. Step by step. It was Neteyam's ikran, but there was no sign of him. The saddle was empty.
You hesitated because the animal was so restless and more shrill noises were coming from its mouth. You looked at its teeth, intimidated. You never approached an ikran on your own, it was far too dangerous. Because you lacked the bond and these creatures were almost untamable.
You breathed in and out deeply and tried not to look the ikran in the eye. As you drew closer to it. Your hand stretched out further. The image of him biting your hand off flickered in your mind's eye and you swallowed. You have to control your fear.
“Where's Neteyam, big guy?” you ask and as soon as he heard the familiar name, he calmed down for a moment. Now you were right in front of him. Eager eyes were on you. The Na'vi were probably waiting for him to kill you… but he didn't. You gently touched his cheek and the heavy snort entered your ears, synchronizing with your heartbeat. But instead, he nudged you with his head towards the saddle and you knew immediately what he wanted. He would fly you to Neteyam. You hesitated and the ikran screamed again.
You tensed your jaw. What if it really was a big emergency and Neteyam was lying somewhere badly injured or worse. You wrestled with yourself and then let out an annoyed sigh. “All right!”
Somehow you had managed to heave yourself onto the saddle. It was a strange feeling and yet interesting. “Woah, take it easy, big guy!” you quipped as the Ikran moved a little too fast. You grabbed hold of the thick leather strap and somehow managed to plant your feet. As if it had sensed it, the ikran shot off and a scream escaped your throat.
“A warning would have been good!”
The cold wind whipped at your face and at times you found it hard to breathe. But somehow you managed to hold on, even though the Ikran was really fast and the fear tried to keep you down. You held on to the leather strap as tightly as you could. Oh Eywa, it was so high.
The ikran flew purposefully towards a group of trees. You looked down and tried to catch a glimpse, but you couldn't see Neteyam anywhere. Suddenly, the ikran swooped down smoothly and you struggled to hold on.
You narrowed your eyes and a squeaking sound came from your mouth. Your slopes tensed and the next moment everything stood still. You opened one eye, then the next. You had landed! You exhaled with relief. You slid out of the saddle and knelt on the ground. “Oh wonderful earth, how I've missed you,” you gasped, trembling and clawing at the earthy ground.
“(Y/n)?” Neteyam's surprised voice snapped you out of your thoughts. You immediately jerked your head up and saw the tall Na'vi in front of you. You immediately ran to him.
“Oh, by Eywa, there you are!” you gasp, stopping immediately when you caught sight of his ankle. It was pinched in a trap that resembled a bear trap. It had to be a remnant from the sky people who were here many years ago.
“Oh God! What happened?!” you immediately looked at his ankle, which was now bleeding. Neteyam looked a little embarrassed, but you could also see the pain in his features.
“I was hunting and somehow I missed this thing,” he confessed to you and you were already thinking about how you could free his ankle from this ugly thing. You got up and looked for a thick branch.
“You actually flew, prrnesyul (bud),” he emphasized the last word the most and you tried not to blush as you came back with the branch.
“Yes, I am. Your giant flying lizard practically pounced on me and brought me here. And it actually didn't try to eat me. Can you believe that?” you joke, and the corners of Neteyam's mouth curl up. But as quickly as the smile had appeared, it disappeared again when he was overcome by another wave of pain.
You gently touched his leg and your eyes met. You absolutely had to free his foot. The wound could become infected and only cause more pain. Neteyam nodded and you could see his jaw tighten as you tried to get the stick between his metal teeth. And it actually worked. You started to move the branch.
“Okay, I'll try to open the trap now and you pull your foot out. All right?” you ask and Neteyam nodded with his brows drawn together.
“One,” you say and keep pushing. The metal moved very slightly.
“Two,” you grind through clenched teeth and put all your strength into your next move. There was only one more piece missing, then the trap would open wide enough for Neteyam to free himself.
“Three!” you shouted and Neteyam pulled his foot out after you had opened the trap with the last of your strength. Luckily, the old thing was already a bit battered. You took a deep breath in and out and threw the stick away.
“oe irayo si ngaru, tìlor” (I thank you, beauty), breathed the Na'vi and you could feel the heat rising in your cheeks.
“nìprrte, tanhì” (you're welcome, star), you teased him back and his grin widened as he watched you doctor his leg. The bleeding should stop soon. Good thing you found him in time.
“Maybe I should go hunting with you next time, Neteyam?” You raised an eyebrow with a smile and he rolled his eyes playfully.
“So you can see me make a fool of myself?” His voice broke a little and he looked disappointed. You knew it annoyed him that he hadn't seen the trap. You put a hand on his shoulder to comfort him.
“frawzo, Neteyam (It's all right), how were you supposed to know there was a trap there? That thing is ancient. I've told you before that it's okay to make mistakes. You learn from them, besides, it could have happened to anyone,” you gently stroke his arm, which looks so gigantic compared to your hand. Neteyam's ears twitched and you noticed how he relaxed. He gently placed his big hand on your little one.
“I'm really proud of you, (Y/n). You finally flew an ikran. You faced your fear,” he praised you and there was gentleness in his eyes. You smiled at him, even though you knew you needed a break from flying.
Then you sheepishly slapped his shoulder.
“Besides, stop flirting with me!”
“pelun?”
“Because you don't court me, skxawng (idiot). I remember how we used to just annoy each other in the past,” you giggle and help him to his ikran as best you can. Neteyam looked down at you as he held on to his ikran. there was something unreadable in his gaze. Courting you? That thought burned long enough in his mind…, far too long. He placed his palm against your cheek and watched your eyes widen.
“tìmweypey, prrnesyul” (patience, bud). It was a whisper but you understood it, as well as the meaning behind his words. Your eyes widened even more when he made you a promise he would keep.

Sun Bathing
Neteyam, Lo'ak x Neteyams Best Friend Reader x Aonung, Rotxo
Summary: the boys can get quite annoying hopefully this would keep them away for some time
Warning: the boys are perverts, jerking off, only male pleasure, aged up characters
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It wasn't everyday I just got to breathe and relax, but here I am sun bathing in my sport bra and shorts chatting away with tsireya and kiri.
"Don't look now but there's creeps in the bush" kiri stated glancing over her shoulder towards the boys who were kneeling a few meters away whispering away with eachother.
"Should we move" tsireya asked sitting up to look at us, I sighed in disapproval "why should we their the ones being pervs" I muttered only glancing towards the boys who jerk away from sight when they saw that they were caught.
I rolled my eyes 'freaks' I layed my arm over my eyes sheltering them from the burning sun "you might be ok with them watching you but I think me and tsireya are gonna go" kiri said and they both said their goodbyes before leaving.
I let out a relaxed sigh quickly rolling my shoulders and getting comfortable on the warmed sand "look what we have here" aonung laughed bashfully as he and the rest of the boys surrounded me.
I only lifted my arm to look at neteyam "I didn't know you were apart of the common pervs nete" I murmured making him blush and shy away "im not a pervert" he tried sounding confident but his words ended in a slight squeak.
"Well I mean have you seen what you look like" lo'ak clapped and he stared down at me with hungry eyes "now now boys I'm relaxing go jerk off some place else" I shooed them away only making them laugh.
"But your just so sexy sitting here in the sun" aonung bit his lip as he folded his arms over his chest "and you like a prepubescent teen now shoo" I muttered getting annoyed at them disturbing me.
"You can do something for us first sweetcheeks" lo'ak groaned as he grabbed his crotch making aonung and rotxo laugh, I exhaled forcefully and slowly rose to my cheeks.
"Fine but you guys owe my 5 months without chores" I said making the boys howl out in excitement "come on" lo'ak muttered and grabbed my hand pulling me into the forest the others following very closely.
When we came into a clearing far from the village did he finally let me go "are you sure about this yn" neteyam whispered to me his voice full of concern.
"If it gets you guys to leave me alone" I giggled and pulled my top off making his eyes bulge "f-fuck" he stuttered.
Aonung pulled me to a rock and pushed me down on it and they crowed around me, Lo'ak reached out his hand and caressed my cheek.
"Will you guys leave me alone after this" I asked and gasped as aonung grabbed my breasts "well it was a deal wasn't it" he groaned and pitched my nibbles making me moan in pain.
They pulled off my clothes leaving me bare and the gaped at my body and started touching themselves as they said all the things they wanted to do to me.
I started caressing myself teasing them slowly making themselves jerk off faster and groan at my teasing, I dragged my fingertips up and down my body leaving goosebumps along my body.
"C-cuming" "fuck" they cussed as the cam spraying their cum on me, making me gasp, they calmed down and helped me clean up and walk back to the beach.
Let's just say they didn't keep to their end of the deal

Curiosity
Aonung x Human! Reader
Summary: Aonung is curious about the sky demon that came to his village with the Sullies.
Warnings: Aonung not respecting boundaries like at all, treats reader like an object kind of, manhandling, nothing serious tbh, Spider gets ragged on repeatedly
Tumblr media
It's late afternoon, the sun at its peak, bathing the Metkayina village in warm gold.
You were enjoying yourself thoroughly, floating on your back and letting the sun warm the parts of you that weren't submerged in cool water. Your exomask was gathering a little condensation in the heat, but not enough to disturb your relaxed state.
It had been a good day. Neytiri had been growing warmer towards you as of late, though you suspected it was mostly born of a desire to please Kiri, who felt Spider's absence sorely and had turned to you to fill the gap of her token human best friend.
A position which you didn't entirely appreciate being thrust into, as a matter of fact. Sure, you missed Spider too, and you were as close to her as you were to her other siblings, but you weren't him. You didn't want the sudden responsibility that came with being their fill-in human. You couldn't crack gross boy jokes with Lo'ak, couldn't comfort Kiri over the shared lack of parents. And you definitely didn't paint yourself blue and act totally feral.
Like you said, you liked Spider, but that was something about him you never understood.
So you were happy to have this respite, even if it were a brief one.
That is, until a shadow fell across you. A large one. You groaned at the disturbance and sudden lack of sunlight, opening your mouth to tell whoever it was to fuck off, when you found that it wasn't Loak, as you had expected, standing on the platform above you, but the son of the Metkayina chief. Onung or something.
"Can I help you?" you asked, trying your best not to sound too irritable. After all, his family was hosting you and the Sullies. He was a dick, but it wouldn't do anyone any good if you mouthed off at him. Not that the desire wasn't there.
"Do you have to wear that mask all the time? I've never seen you take it off," he commented, ignoring your question as he lowered his bulk into a crouch, tail swishing across the ground behind him as he looked at you with genuine curiosity on his face.
You squinted at him, shifting onto your front and treading water as you did so. "I can't breathe your air," you replied bluntly, then, unable to resist, added an "idiot" after for good measure.
He scowled briefly, ears flicking backwards.
You huffed out a laugh, rather pleased with yourself for managing to get under his skin. "Now, is that all? Because I'm trying to enjoy the sun, and- hey! Hey!"
You cut yourself off as his large hands hooked under your armpits, lifting you clear of the water. "What are you doing, dickhead?!" you snapped indignantly, trying to pry his hands off you, kicking at his arms. "Put me down!"
It was his turn to ignore you now, instead carefully adjusting himself to sit on the edge of the platform, legs dangling above the water.
He lowered you onto his lap, and you briefly considered stomping on his dick once you found your feet on his broad thighs, but settled for folding your arms and glaring at him. He shifted his hands to your middle, presumably to keep you from falling or jumping off, and continued to stare at you.
Your cheeks grew hot almost immediately. You felt beyond exposed as he observed you, standing there on his thighs with his hands on your body, only in your damn bikini. He was just looking at first, but then began to touch you, taking your arm between his forefinger and thumb and holding it out- as much as you tried to fight it, you were simply no match for this big blue idiot's child-like curiosity in your alien form.
And it wasn't like he was unattractive. It was just that he was Metkayina royalty or something, and dumb as a rock, and you weren't Spider and you didn't have a massive boner for every Na'vi under the sun.
So maybe you were a little bitter towards the idea of human/Na'vi romance. After all, you were the unlucky bastard who'd had to sit through Spider's long talks about his various crushes. It had started with Neteyam, mature and kind and confident and altogether a pretty good crush for a young human boy like Spider. Then it had been fiery, playful Lo'ak, then dreamy Kiri, and at one horrible point you remember it being Jake. Yeah, Spider went through the Sullies like he had a to-do list.
You were nothing like that. You'd never had a crush on a Na'vi in your life.
And you weren't about to start now, even if his eyes roving over every inch of you with genuine interest made you squirm and flush.
"Do you mind?!" you said waspishly, finally getting fed up with his intense scrutiny as his hand travelled down your leg, dwarfed in his massive palm as he tried to examine the limb in question.
"Not at all," Onung or whatever his name was replied, grinning at you, teeth flashing. Jesus, they were sharp.
"Look, Onung, you can't just-" you began indignantly before he interrupted.
"Aonung. My name is Aonung," he corrected.
"Aonung," you repeated back to him, rolling your eyes. "You can't just-"
"You're not saying it right," he pouted like a little kid. Did he honestly think you cared how his name was pronounced?!
"Shut up and let me speak!" you snapped, hand lashing out and grabbing him by the ear, making him yelp as you dragged his big head towards you. "Listen, you big blue jackass, you can't just pick people up and start examining them like that! I didn't consent to it!"
"Let me go," he hissed at you, fangs inches from your face.
You stared right down his throat, unafraid. "You let me go. I'm not a toy you can fuck around with."
"Fine," he huffed, his tail thumping behind him irritably as you released his ear and he set you down beside him.
You stood for a moment, the seaspray-wet platform cooler on your feet than his thighs had been, and resisting the urge to shrink into yourself as the wind hit the place where his hand had sat around your middle.
He kept sitting there, looking rather like a kid that had been sent to time out, frowning, ears flat against his head and tail still twitching.
"Why did you wanna look at me, anyway?" you asked abruptly, looking at him. "You seemed pretty set on drop kicking me into the ocean when I first came here."
His ears drooped even further and he didn't look at you. "Cause," he grumbled.
"Cause why?" you persisted, reaching out and pushing at his broad shoulder, feeling a little braver now you were no longer at his mercy.
He glanced at your hand, then at you, a weird expression on his face that you didn't feel like unpacking.
You withdrew your hand. "Sorry."
"It's fine," he grunted, then heaved a sigh. Your eyes followed his chest as it rose and fell absentmindedly, before you caught yourself and gave yourself a firm mental telling off for checking out the big blue guy who'd just handled you like you were an object.
Not that you'd hated it. It was just... unexpected.
"You can look at me if you're that curious," you relented. "You just had to ask first. I get that you'd be curious but-"
"I didn't think you'd mind," he muttered.
"Didn't think I'd mind? When a guy twice my height literally snatched me out of the water and started handling me like an object? Aonung," you say severely.
"You're still saying it wrong."
You roll your eyes so hard it hurts for a second. "That's the best I can do."
"No, it's not."
"Oh, yeah, since you've got your degree and know every fucking thing."
"I don't know what a degree is," he pointed out, looking at you steadily.
You huff and glance around, then back at him. "Teach me, then. If it's such a big deal. Teach me how to say your name."
He just scoffed at you and looked away.
Okay. Rude, considering he'd been bitching about it nonstop.
You took the initiative and climbed back into his lap to make him look at you, gripping his shoulder tightly for balance as you stepped back onto his thighs. Thankfully of your own volition this time.
"What are you doing?" he asked, sounding mildly irritated, his hand cupping your hip instinctively to steady you.
"I said teach me," you repeated firmly, poking him in the chin. "I'm sick of you nagging me about it."
"I've only said it twice," he huffed.
"I've only said your name twice," you countered.
You stared at each other for a long moment. His hand was warm, gentle on your hip, and you still had your hand on his shoulder, his skin sun-warm and slightly gritty with sea salt and sand. Okay, so maybe you were kind of attracted to this one Na'vi specifically.
He sighed, looking away from you, then back at you, adjusting himself to be more comfortable, leaning back on his other hand. "Aonung," he said clearly. "Ow-noong."
You made a rather feeble attempt at imitating the sounds. You were used to the more blunt names of the Omaticaya, but the embarrassment of not getting it right was killing you a little inside.
He chuckled, thighs shifting under your feet a little, making you wobble and glare at him.
It takes you a few more attempts and much laughter from him, but you get it, or as close as you think you'll get.
"I think that's about as close as we're gonna get," Aonung said finally, voice warm with amusement as he looked at you.
You blushed despite yourself. Eywa, what was happening to you? This wasn't like you at all.
He was still gazing at you, and you realised his thumb was rubbing lazy circles into your hip.
You sighed deeply.
"Something on your mind?" he prompted.
"You're more tolerable than I expected."
A grin spread across his face as he tilted his head, ears tilting forward. "Should I be flattered?"
You just shrugged, smiling back a little.
"Well," he continued, shifting once more beneath you, heaving a sigh of his own. "I guess you'll be pleased to know I find you tolerable too."
"Well, isn't that convenient?" you snickered. "The human and the Metkayina's precious little prince-"
"Ah, shut up," he murmured, sitting a little more upright, bringing his face close to yours, before he stopped himself.
You didn't dare to move. "And what are you up to?" you whispered.
"Nothing." He smiled, slow and lazy, still rubbing soothing circles into your hip, tail beginning to thump again behind him.
Then he moved his hand to your mask, still watching your face. "Take a deep breath for me," he hummed.
You did so as your heart began to thump insistently against your ribs, hoping- no, praying that he was about to do what you thought he was going to do.
He lifted your mask off gently, and leaned forward, covering your mouth with his.
Like everything else about him, his lips were warm, firm, tasting of sea salt and some Metkayina herb, the name of which escaped you.
You sighed contentedly into his mouth, looping your arms around his neck as best you could, leaning your body against his chest.
You wanted this to drag on forever. There was no great realisation, either, beyond the simple oh. I have a crush on Aonung. No desperation in this.
It was just nice, to be here, standing on his thighs, kissing him slowly and peacefully while the brisk sea breeze enveloped you both.
He eventually pulled away and replaced your mask, looking down at you with a serene, content expression, tracing his fingers down the glass.
You couldn't help smiling, cheeks flushed as you shifted your hands to his shoulders.
"That was nice," he commented, trying to hold back a grin. "We should do it again sometime."
You laughed a little breathlessly. "Definitely."
His laughter mingled with yours, his chest vibrating a little as he leaned forward and pressed a kiss to the glass of your mask above your forehead. "I'll hold you to that."

Nobody talks about Kiri's role in Neytiri and Spider's bad relationship...
I know Neytiri and Spider's relationship has been talked about to death already, but there's one important aspect of it everyone seems to overlook that I want to write down all my thoughts about: Kiri's role.
(Just FYI The High Ground comics are explicitly confirmed to be canon by Avatar's creative team, so please don't try to tell me something's not true because it happened in the comics)
With everything Neytiri has been through, it's understandable that she'd feel uncomfortable with Quaritch's son spending so much time around her children to the point where he starts calling them his "siblings." Contrary to what I've heard others say, Neytiri does not have a "blind hatred" towards Spider. She doesn't want him to be hurt or killed, she just wants him to stay away from her family and mind his own business. From her perspective, an "invader" is acting like he's entitled to being around her family and claiming them as his own, the same family that has been hurt so badly by other "invaders." This perceived entitlement coupled with the fact that he's the son of the guy who thought he was entitled to destroy her homeland is what gives her such strong feelings about Spider compared to the other Na'vi-allied humans.
But is Spider's behavior towards Neytiri's family really entitlement like Neytiri thinks or is it something else? Let's look at why Spider does the things he does:
Why does Spider spend so much time with the Sully kids? Kiri and Lo'ak invite him. From what we see in the movie and the comics, Kiri and Lo'ak don't seem to have any friends before meeting Tsireya and Rotxo, which means Spider is not just their best friend, but their only friend. There is nothing about Spider, Kiri, and Lo'ak's dynamic that implies Spider is the only one seeking them out. They mutually seek each others' company because they all feel like outcasts among their respective species.
Why does Spider call the Sully kids his siblings? Kiri started calling him her brother first. In vol 1 of THG, Kiri tells Spider he's like another brother to her. Shortly after this is when Spider starts referring to the Sully kids as his family. Since Spider has no biological family and a bad relationship with his foster family, it's understandable he would latch onto the people who actually care for him and explicitly say they feel like he's their family member.
Why does Spider insert himself into the Omaticaya? Kiri insists he joins them. in Vol 1 of THG, Spider is present for a Na'vi celebration and Neytiri asks him to leave because he's not a part of their family. Spider is perfectly okay with this and he starts to excuse himself, but Kiri stops him and insists he stay because he is a part of their family. Later, in Vol 2 of THG, the Sullies and the Omaticaya are evacuating to High Camp while Spider's foster family and most of the other humans choose to surrender to the RDA. Spider is initially upset and begs Jake to come with them, but after Jake scolds him, Spider accepts the adults' choice and willingly stays in Hell's Gate, waiting to surrender to the RDA. Kiri, on the other hand, insists Spider come with them to High Camp and goes back for him. This results in Kiri, Lo'ak, and Tuk getting captured by Spider's foster dad and Spider needing to rescue them. In both of these instances, when Spider is told he's unwelcome somewhere, he is okay with it and backs off, but Kiri is the one who fights for him to stay. The only instance where Spider insists he has a right to stay of his own volition is when Jake asks him to turn himself into the RDA soldiers hunting them after Spider helped the Sully kids escape his foster father. Since the RDA likely would've imprisoned, tortured, or even killed Spider for helping the valuable hostages escape, Spider's insistence he stay with the Sullies is completely understandable.
Why does Spider paint himself blue and emulate the Na'vi lifestyle? Kiri again. The only time we see Spider applying his stripes on screen, Kiri is right there helping him. From this we can assume that Kiri and possibly also Lo'ak regularly help Spider apply his stripes since he wouldn't be able to paint his back without help. And while we don't have exact information on when Spider started wearing a loincloth and behaving like a Na'vi, I think we can safely assume Kiri and her siblings are the ones who encouraged this behavior.
After analyzing the origins of what Neytiri perceives as "entitlement," it becomes clear it's not really entitlement at all. Spider never does something he has not been "invited" to do by Kiri or Lo'ak. Spider is not trying to cross any boundaries and he's not trying to hurt anyone; he's just a lonely orphan who has latched onto the only people who show him real care.
From Spider's perspective, Neytiri hates him for no reason other than his dad. In actuality, Neytiri's strong feelings aren't just about who is dad is, but moreso about the way he behaves on top of who his dad is. Neytiri doesn't have a "blind hatred" for him like Spider believes, but she has a deep trauma-rooted discomfort with his proximity to her family in the context of his heritage, and this discomfort makes her lash out at him. But of course Spider doesn't understand this because he's A. a teenage boy with limited emotional intelligence and B. has no reason to think there's anything wrong with his behavior because Kiri and Lo'ak encourage it so enthusiastically. With Spider's limited understanding, it makes sense that he chalks up Neytiri's behavior as "she hates me!"
So we have these two wildly different perspectives. Neytiri views Spider as an entitled invader and she doesn't understand why he can't just leave her family alone, and Spider views Neytiri as a cruel woman who judges him for his heritage and he can't understand why she can't just let him hang out with his "siblings" in peace. When these two different perspectives clash, it gets ugly, and leads to scenes like the time Neytiri lunged at Spider (to attack him? shake him? it's unclear) and Spider yelling at Neytiri and blaming her for his situation (which is really Quaritch's fault for making his postpartum mother fight).
Then we have Kiri's perspective. Kiri loves her mother and her best friend, but doesn't seem to understand why her mom doesn't want her best friend around and she also doesn't seem to understand why her best friend thinks her mom hates him. In vol 1 of THG, she even tells Spider that Neytiri loves him. Ironically, even though Kiri clearly wants her mom and her best friend to get along, she is inadvertently the source of most of their issues. In all the instances where Spider's behavior makes Neytiri upset, we can trace the behavior back to Kiri as outlined in the bullet points above. The more Kiri pushes for Spider to stay close, the more it triggers Neytiri trauma, the more Neytiri lashes out Spider, the more Spider thinks she hates him, and the closer Kiri gets to Spider to comfort him and try and prove him wrong. It's a vicious cycle.
And just to be clear, I'm not trying to say Kiri is at fault for Neytiri and Spider's relationship. Kiri and Spider are just kids with little understanding of the trauma Neytiri has been through. They just know they enjoy spending time with each other, and neither of them fully understand why it makes Neytiri so upset. Neytiri, on the other hand, is not a kid... she is not responsible for her trauma and for her negative feelings towards Spider, but she is responsible for her behavior towards him.
The one thing I don't understand is why neither Neytiri nor Jake nipped Kiri's behavior in the bud before it got to the point where it is now. If Kiri keeps calling Spider her brother and insisting he stay for family celebrations, and it's obviously very upsetting to Neytiri, why did neither of her parents sit her down and let her know its inappropriate? Spider was clearly okay with being left out of the events. If they'd talked about it with Kiri, they would've avoided all that strife in the first place. Hell, Spider wouldn't even be around them anymore because he would've surrendered to the RDA and lived in Bridgehead if not for Kiri insisting he come with them!
And actually, why didn't they stop the kids from spending so much time together in the first place? Neytiri was telling Jake she didn't like Spider around her kids since they were very little. Why did they continue to let them play together if it made her so uncomfortable? Was Jake letting it happen behind her back? Were the kids sneaking away to play with Spider? Did Neytiri let it happen because she thought they would grow out of it or something? At that age, parents have a lot of control over their kids lives, and I don't understand why Neytiri didn't just redirect her kids to play with anyone other than Spider if it upset her so much. In THG, Neytiri threatened to ban Spider from seeing Kiri, but she did it way too late. The kids were teenagers at that point and already saw each other as family, so if she tried to separate them they would've just snuck out and seen each other anyway. If Neytiri is okay with putting a "ban" on Spider, why did she wait until they were teens and much more difficult to control to do so?
I know the "real" answer is because James Cameron wants ✨DRAMA✨ but I'm wondering if there's an in-universe explanation cause it just doesn't make sense to me. I guess the most realistic answer is that Jake let it happen knowing full well Neytiri didn't like it, but he let it slide anyway because he didn't want to say no to the kids. Jake had two choices. He could've A. honored Neytiri's wishes and separated the children before they bonded or B. sat down with Neytiri and let her know Spider is here to stay and that she can't lash out at him. Either choice would've resulted in a much better outcome for everyone involved, but then again, it would've had a lot less drama so I understand why the writers didn't have that happen instead. Actually, now that I'm typing it out, it is pretty in character for Jake to ignore a giant problem right in front of him and hope it'll go away on it's own (that's how we lost Hometree, Eytukan, and Neteyam rip). I guess we're going to see this situation blow up in Jake's face in Avatar 3, just like his other ignore-the-problem-and-hope-it-goes-away situations did. I just hope that this situation will have a better outcome for everyone involved.
It just frustrates me because I feel like all this could've been resolved years ago if Jake and Neytiri had sat Kiri and Spider down and had a discussion about boundaries, but there's too much bad blood between Neytiri and Spider for an easy resolution now...
Anyways, if you made it this far, thanks for reading, didn't mean to turn this into a whole essay lol. Please share your thoughts with me if you have any!

Abandoned sully (1)
Tumblr media
Being the child of Jake sully was something that any child would be proud about, and everyone had praised the family for their close bond. There was someone who was a baby of a war hero jake and neytiri had other child a girl before Lo'ak and Kiri but she was not living with them. When she was born she was not like the rest she was born on rumored bad day and if five fingers were not something that scared anyone else, but some her human colored eyes scared them. Everyone had thought she will bring bad luck or she is a bad omen, all the the clan were in uproar of what shall become of the child, the alliance was in danger. Neytiri and Jake had to a hard decision to give up their daughter for the sake of everything else.
All the clans were in uproar of what will become of the child as no on wanted to keep the unions if you were still at the omatacayia clan.So neytiri and Jake had to make the hard decisions for their family, the clan, and for the rest of pandora they gave you up.
Moat " hear  my words clearly my daughter once you hand over your daughter this can be fixed" Moat and some elders told them not to do this as it will result in bad outcomes for everyone, but they were outnumbered in voted.
Neytiri " mother we have to do this for our family and the clan"
Moat " she is your family"
Neytiri " she can't stay here if we keep her the clan will pay and make her pay ... we are doing this for everyone and her"
Moat " you disappointed me daughter your father and sister will be ashamed of you"
Jake " listen moat we are sorry but we will have to do what we think is right I'm olo'eyuthan and my word is final and it law, that what you and your daughter have taught me"'Jake looks at his mother in law, as he stands up for the decision him and his mate have made.
Moat " then I will take her to a new home a place where she will feel safe and welcome"
Neytiri " no mother let us take her so she can remember us"
Moat " I'm an tshaik and elder I out rule the both of you now hand over the child it will be best if you stay here and, attend to your family and not some unknown baby" moat had taken the baby out of her daughter hand and soon called her ikran.
Neytiri " mother please let her take this her song chord so she can remember us" neytiri was praying for her mother to hear her word, and just do this small for her.
Moat " oh my daughter she will remember enough of everything and everyone"moat had glared at the string holding one gem, she didn't dare touch it right now. As she knew this songchord will only bring sorrow to the girl.
Neytiri " please mother she needs to know we love her and will be waiting for her return"moat soon sighed and soon took the song chord into her hands.
Moat " my the great mother forgive you all for your crimes against this child, but mark my words what ever happens in the future is all become of the decision made today"
Jake and neytiri " ......."
Jake " we will stand strong together as couple and as parents for Kiri and neteyam, and in time she will never understand of the choice that had to be made here tonight"
Moat " oh Jake sully you have fallen from the mighty hero you once were" moat turned her back on her daughter and Jake, but the couple followed her.
Jake " tell us where you are taking her as her parents we have rights to know"
Moat " the great mother has spoken you won't know where she is until right, now leave me be as you have two other children to attend to let's hope you don't abandon anymore kids until then"
Neytiri " mother "
Moat " I most leave if I'm going to get her there on time" moat soon got on her banshee and soon took off, into the air she was made about what was happening. She knew the child was innocent and old nasty rumors were sending her away from her family and clan.
Many hours later
???? " who is there you know it wrong to interrupt a tshaik when she listens to eywa"
Moat " hello my old friend" moat was looking at an elder tshaik women.
Tupia " moat it been so long I have heard your daughter has given birth to a baby girl"
Moat " yes that why I'm here I have come here asking for sanctuary for the child"
Tupia " come with me and we can speak about this serious matter" soon the two women and left to speak at Tupia home about you, and even Tupia was not happy about what she had heard. As the two elders talked you had been left in with some caretakers and younger kids, who already started loving you.
Tupia " these young tshaik and leaders think they know everything, and the elders are worst holding the past against a child"
Moat " yes and if she stays trouble will come and I don't wish that for my granddaughter" moat worried about the safety and wellbeing of her granddaughter.
Tupia " she can stay here and learn the ways of the Navi, the group will welcome her"
Moat " Thank you"
Tupia " does your daughter know of the major effect's because of her actions"
Moat " I have tried speaking with her and Jake but they don't listen, they are worried about their family and clan"
Tupia " they don't worry about their own child"
Moat" it seems like that"
Tupia " do they know what the out come of this will be for them and everyone else"
Mo'at " no they don't I have tried telling them that but they won't listen this is my own solution ... she can't go with the humans as they are being test by the other clans"
Tupia " some of these human can come here and see the child as she might get Illness I can't cure here, and it will help her as well to undertake why she have five finger and toes"
Moat " I will see if they can happen but seeing how they are loyal to Jake and his command they might not come"
Tupia " then they will face harsh criticism from her when she become older hasn't anyone listened to you"
Moat " they are all young and not experienced in life yet and think what they are doing will be explained easily for the child"
Tupia " there a difference between fantasy and reality my friend ... they will see their actions to keep everyone else safe will be hard to get a child or teen to forgive them"
Moat " it seems like my daughter was hoping she could rebuild a relationship with her when she was older rand welcome, her back home"
Tupia " we will see if that happen my friend ... oh little y/n you will become something great it sad you will have to face it being seen as someone bad until the truth comes out"
Moat " I will come see her when I cam and tell her what she needs, I won't keep her in the dark like everyone else was thinking"
Tupia " understood" moat soon left but not without hugging you on last time and kissing your forehead she was sad to leave, but she knew her clan needed her and you will be safe with her friend. You could understand you were being left  behind and it took Tupia some time to clams you down but soon everything was better. Once moat had come home she didn't speak with anyone as she was upset about the situation she was praying to see you once again and that you will be well. Moat had knew you are safe and loved by those who will be there for you, until the end and make you into a wonderful Navi in time.

You distinctly feel the two pairs of eyes on you as the festivities commence.
It was celebrating you and a few other navi, along with your friend Kiri.
Now, 4 years ago you had decided to leave with your best friend. When the sullys had decided to leave, you had talked to your adopted father, Norm, and he had relented. He had shoved that tablet into your chest and made you promise to call him all the time, to which you've done.
And off you went, following your friend. Norm was almost convinced you would either mate Kiri or remain by her side forever, anyways.
But no, there were no feelings for your friend, as easy as that would be. She knew you and you knew her, almost like soul sisters.
That meant she also unfortunately knew of your silly little childhood crush on her older brother. At first it was just that; a silly little crush. But over the years, and as you grew and found out things you were attracted to, the oldest Sully boy seemed to check every box.
And unfortunately, as your luck may have it, so did another one.
Ao'nung was strong, resilient. As soon as he pulled his head out of his ass, he took charge of being the next Olo'eyktan. He was cocky, but humble now. He was a good warrior, a kind nurturer. He was the other side of the same coin with Neteyam.
Now, Ao'nung didn't exactly strike you as your type at first. He was an ass, he picked on Kiri and her brothers and tugged your tail one too many times to count.
But thankfully, it seems what with Lo'ak punching him in the face, then later the sully boy taking the blame for what happened at three brothers rock, he smartened up. He and Neteyam even got closer, they often sparred and learned from one another.
Your feelings for them only grew more and as soon as Tsireya had learned of your ever growing crush on her brother, she made it her mission to set you up with him. Then there was the issue with the other one. Lo'ak made it his mission to get his brother to finally see you.
So you had the lovebirds trying to set you up with someone, but not the same person.
What a headache.
You're finally able to slip out of the crowd after being tugged into a dance with Kiri, she snickers as you stumble, a little disoriented from the swaying.
"Shut up," you huff, taking a drink from one of the carved cups.
"Hey, yo, you got eyes on you," your friend smacks your arm, spilling part of your drink.
You hiss lightly, rolling your eyes,"Who?"
You're wiping your hand and wrist dry when she snorts, so you look up at her with your browbone quirked.
"Oh, shit," she chuckles.
"What??" You look around. You do feel the eyes, but you can't seem to find them.
"So, here's the thing," she turns to you, a shakey shit eating grin on her lips,"Lo'ak and Tsireya have been trying to set you up with their brothers, but neither of them know."
"Excuse me- what now?"
"Tsireya is trying to set you up with Ao'nung," she covers her mouth to stifle her laugh,"And Lo'ak is trying to set you up with Neteyam, and neither of them know."
Your jaw drops and you blink in surprise,"Uh- since when? Why? I- oh god, that's so embarrassing," you cover your face with both hands after putting your cup down.
"Since a little before you were training to claim your tsurak, since you becoming an adult and all needs some celebrating, and because you've been pining over them for forever," the last part comes out as a playful whine, and she takes your wrists and tugs your hands away from your face,"And quite frankly, you need to get laid. You've been alone for a while.. you shouldn't have to soldier through those heats alone, you know."
She almost seems worried, at first, but snickers at her own words.
You huff, thinking of a rebuttal but none come to mind,"So then, who do I choose? Your brother, or the ass who was mean to you?"
"Oh, come on now," Kiri rolls her eyes, smacking your shoulder lightly,"We've all but forgotten that, we were all kids."
"Yeah, yeah," you start, crossing your arms defensively.
"Hey, don't get all huffy with me," she yanks your arms down,"Just.. don't be so reserved anymore. You deserve to go and have some fun- but please, spare the details. I'd rather not hear of your escapades with either of them."
"But- I-"
She backs up quickly, giving you two thumbs up before disappearing into the crowd of dancers, surely to go and find Spider.
You sigh, picking your drink up and sip at it. You try to think, still feeling those eyes on you before a rough tug at your arm has you spilling the liquid.
"My drink- hey!"
"C'mere, I have someone I want you to talk to," Lo'ak smirks, dragging you somewhere.
Only, you're stopped, another hand wrapped around your other arm and tugging. You spot a grinning Tsireya and you whine as more of your drink is spilled to the sand.
"Come, come, wait, Lo'ak?" She looks at the boy with wide eyes and he mirrors that look,"What are you doing?"
He then grins,"I'm setting her up with someone," then tugs you to the side.
Tsireya keeps her grip firm, not relenting.
You snort at this, huffing at inspecting your cup and seeing nothing in it.
"What do you mean? I'm setting her up with someone.." Tsireya narrows her eyes at him.
Thankfully, it seems Eywa has blessed you to not have to literally be in the middle of this.
Only to curse you all over again.
A warm hand gently touches your back, and another, your shoulder.
"Sister," A raspy voice speaks,"I do believe Mother was looking for you."
You peer over your shoulder and go bug eyed at the sight of the ever growing Metkayina prince. He smirks lightly down at you.
You snap your head around, gazing at the oldest sully child. He only stares at his brother, seemingly telling him with his eyes to leave. Tsireya grips Lo'aks upper arm and drags him off, bickering.
The hand on your back guides you forward, and you realize quickly that it's Neteyam. Ao'nung has seemingly split off somewhere.
You're honestly at a loss for words. You look back at Neteyam in shock and he chuckles.
Thankfully, on the opposite side of the fire and dancing, there's logs to lounge on. He brings you to some far off, away from the noise enough that it's almost private. Several palm trees surround the particular area he's brought you to and you can't help but feel nervous.
Just as soon as you sit, Ao'nung is back with a fresh cup.
"I had seen that they had spilled your drink," he grins lightly.
"Oh- thank you," you grin back, taking it and sipping the cool fruit juice. You bring the cup down, watching as they settle on either side of you and you shrink in on yourself, unable to think of something to say.
Thankfully someone else does.
"Congratulations on your achievement," Neteyam speaks soft, proudly.
"Yes, that is truly a great step, you have done well," Ao'nung nods, turning to you as he straddles the log.
You blush lightly, nodding,"Thank you- was a lot of effort but truly worth it all."
You see Neteyam turning towards you and you gaze down at the drink in your hands,"So, uh-" You clear your throat,"What's up?"
Neteyam snickers quietly, turning away for a moment. Ao'nung grins cheekily, leaning to the side to catch your eye; you do end up gazing at him, wide eyes and nervousness clear.
"Nothing, tahni," he teases,"How are you enjoying the party?"
"Oh- it's great! Kiri and I danced a lot, Tuk joined for a bit but was dragged off by some other kids," you grin lightly.
"We saw, yes, I'm glad you've enjoyed the night so far," he scoots closer,"Got your eye on anybody?"
"What- huh?"
He smirks, tilting his head, but Neteyam speaks up,"Has anyone here caught your attention?"
"I- um, I don't know," you blush heavily, shrugging, then sip at your drink. God, this is a nightmare and a dream.
"Really, now?"
"Okay, Ao'nung," Neteyam grins lightly, shaking his head before redirecting his attention to you,"Sorry, he's been wanting to tease you for a while."
"I- what?"
"We started to notice that our siblings were," he smirks,"to put it shortly, trying to set us up with you. But they were doing so separately.."
"So one day, after sparring, Lo'ak had come by and I happened to overhear-"
"Oh, you were blatantly eavesdropping, Ao'nung," Neteyam rolls his eyes with a chuckle.
"Anyways- Lo'ak started to talk highly of you and low and behold, we've all been played!"
You snort out a laugh, shaking your head fondly and your shoulders slump as you relax,"Kiri had just told me before she left."
"So," Ao'nung draws out, scooting even closer. You idly feel Neteyam closer beside you, now seemingly straddling the log as well.
"So?" You question, nervous all over again.
"We wondered why they want us to be set up with you," The male behind you rasps,"Have you perhaps got something to tell us?"
By this point, Ao'nung has slid closer to you and leaned into your space. You're leaning back, nervous but only lean into Neteyam. You're suddenly very aware of the fact that you all are very much still outside, and you swear you can distinctly feel some lingering gazes of surely some jealous Metkayina women who see you as a potential threat. Taking a quick glance, you huff a sigh of relief, you're just out of sight for anyone to really decipher that it was you with two of the most sought after males.
"No- Nope, I don't," you mumble, blushing hotter as you struggle to keep eye contact with the metkayina.
He gently takes your free hand, dragging it forward and kissing along your knuckles. You choke on a gasp and he grins, turning your hand over and kissing your palm, slowly working up to your wrist.
"How about now, yawne?" Neteyam asks gently, now completely pressed into your side. He trails his fingers lightly up your spine, then back down, thumbing at the base of your tail.
You bite your lip to muffle the whine bubbling up from your throat.
"Come on, stop- stop teasing me," you mumble, looking away from them.
Ao'nung then grasps your left knee, lifting it and dropping it on the other side of the log, making you straddle it too. Your drink spills a little, but you don't care this time, and Neteyam gently takes the cup from your hand to drop it to the sand, spilling it. The metkayina gets even closer now, and you gasp as Neteyams hands grip at your sides to drag your back into his chest. You lean against him completely now and you feel your face grow even hotter if that were possible.
"Okay, enough teasing," Neteyam sends a warning look to Ao'nung,"We just want to know of your feelings, if they're returned, really."
Your eyes grow comically wide,"Returned? Wait, wait," you look at Ao'nung in confusion,"I- what is happening right now."
"We like you, and we'd love to have you for the night," Ao'nung is straight to the point, seemingly restless from dancing around the subject despite enjoying teasing you only moments ago.
"If you'll have us.. we can give you pleasure for the evening," Neteyam speaks soft into your hair, hands gently caressing your forearms.
Your breathing gets slightly heavier at the thought. God.. the things you have imagined while alone in your marui would make Eywa blush..
You swallow thickly, blinking up at the man in front of you,"No teasing?"
"Of course not," Neteyam reassures you.
Ao'nung grins,"Maybe not here," only to receive a smack on the shoulder.
You ponder it over for a moment before nodding softly. Ao'nung is quick to lean in, only to be held back by Neteyams hand on his forehead. He grunts in annoyance.
"Are you sure? Yes or no, tiyawn, your comfort is top priority," his voice is soft and tender.
You nod quick, clearing your throat,"Yes- yes, I'm sure."
Neteyam lifts his hand, and Ao'nung cups the side of your jaw to angle your face as he kisses you deeply right away.
You release a surprised noise, sighing into him as he licks into your mouth and you can't stop the whine you let out into his mouth. Neteyam leans down to press soft kisses against your shoulder.
Ao'nung kisses hot and fast and by the time he pulls back, kisses trailing down your throat, you're panting for breath.
Neteyam takes the other side of your jaw and turns your head to kiss you too. He kisses soft, sweet and tender, gently tonguing at your lips and diving in slowly. The lips at your neck suck marks, soon moving down to your clavicle and you jolt back with a surprised gasp at the hand traveling up your thigh.
"Can we- can we go somewhere private?"
The boys nod quick, taking your hand and lifting you from the log to lead you off. Thankfully it's only a few moments walk, but that's due to Ao'nungs impatience and he lugs you over his shoulder and takes off down the bouncing paths as you shriek out with giggles, to his own private marui just on the outskirts. Neteyam chuckles as he follows you both in, turning to tie the flaps closed before turning to you and grinning lightly.
You blush, suddenly everything hitting you and those nerves pile up. You watch as Ao'nung is cleaning parts of his marui, making his bed nicer. It seems Neteyam realizes your nerves rising, and comes over to cup your arm.
"Hey, if you change your mind or anything makes you want to stop, you tell us, ok? Your comfort is most important, no matter when, you tell us," he speaks reassuringly.
You nod and smile lightly in thanks,"I will, I promise."
"Good girl," he mutters before cupping your neck, angling your face up and kissing you softly once more.
Now it's Ao'nung that crowds in behind you, lifting your hair out of the way and again kissing your neck. You shiver in delight especially when four hands start to caress your body.
Two glide along your sides, tracing the ridges of your ribs, rolling up the notches of your spine and almost massaging up your back.
The other two cup your neck, trailing down your chest and glide over your breasts, down your sides and the thumbs dip into your navel to settle on your hips.
Neteyam disconnects from the kiss to press his lips down your jaw and along the column of your throat, and Ao'nung is quick to tilt your head, leaning down you kiss you deeply once more.
He pulls back after a moment, thumbing at the strings holding your top up,"Can I take this off?"
You nod quickly, breathing heavily.
"That breathless after a kiss? Thought I taught you better, paskalin," Ao'nung teases and you roll your eyes, then he's quickly untying the top as Neteyam peels it off, tossing it to the side.
Ao'nung groans, peering over your shoulder as your nipples harden up just slightly. He trails his hands up, cupping the underside of your boobs.
Neteyam cups your lower back, presses soft kisses down to your clavicle and nipping there, then quickly down to your chest. He kisses over the soft skin, then makes eye contact with you as he licks over your nipple. Your hips buck, a broken gasp seeping from your puffy lips.
He wraps his lips around the bud and teases, suckling lightly. You moan out as Ao'nung drags a hand up to pinch at your other nipple.
Your tail whips between Ao'nung's legs, smacking his calves and he chuckles at this, stepping back just an inch and bringing his other hand down to grab the base of your tail.
You yelp, eyes fluttering and head tilting back against his shoulder.
"Oh?" He grins, pressing a chaste kiss to the nape of your neck. He rubs his thumb at the skin around your tail, teasing the base and you whine, cutting it off as you bite your lip.
Neteyam lightly nips your nipple between his front teeth and you jolt, arching your back and pressing more of your flesh into him.
Neteyam releases your nipple, descending down your front,"I must taste you, paskalin," and he kneels before you. A shot of adrenaline races up your spine at the sight,"Great mother, you are divine."
You huff, blushing hot.
Ao'nung latches his head over your shoulder to watch as Neteyam unties your tewng, helping as he unlaces it from your tail, and its tossed to the side quickly. The metkayina ends up using his foot to spread yours, making you spread your thighs and Neteyam shoves himself through. He tenderly kisses your inner thighs and you sigh shakily, groaning when Ao'nung returns his attention and hands to teasing your nipples, pinching the softening buds to harden them up again.
The Omiticaya lifts one of your thighs, laying it over his shoulder and eyeing your pussy. It's wet, slick having gathered at your inner thighs already and he groans, taking in your scent greedily before he licks hot up your folds, delving his tongue between them by the top and locating your clit.
You bark out a moan, hips rolling and you lift your hands to cling to Ao'nungs forearms.
"Oh, f-fuck," you gasp out in surprise as his tongue curls over your clit, stroking over the sensitive bud relentlessly.
Ao'nung sucks marks into your neck and lightly grinds his growing cock into your backside as he watches.
The Omiticaya between your legs moans against you, then gently lifts a hand to prod at your dripping hole, pressing in,in,in, until he's knuckle deep.
You moan lowly, drawn out, nearly overwhelmed with the pleasure of him suckling on your clit and pulling that finger out then thrusting back in to your pulsing walls.
"Good girl," Ao'nung praises into your neck and you whine breathlessly.
Neteyam adds another finger, then recreates his pattern but quirks his fingers around, almost searching and-
"Oh! Fuck, wait!-" You jolt, hips bucking your cunt against his face.
He fingers into your gspot, grinning as he licks over your clit lazily.
The fingers teasing your nipples, tongue on your clit and those two long fingers fucking into your clenching cunt has you babbling incoherent words, shrieking out a moan and your back arches, head craning back as you cum. You heave for breath, blinking blearily and whine as he still drives his fingers into you. Your thighs clench and he chuckles, finally pulling out, and you sigh in relief.
"We're not done, tahni," Ao'nung grins into your neck before lifting you quickly and walking over to the bed where he lays you down. Neteyam follows behind silently, then kneels above you on the bed, watching and lazily untying his tewng.
Ao'nung unties his tewng quickly, then quickly moves between your thighs to bully his head through, weaving his arms up and under your thighs to grip the your hips, holding you in place. Once satisfied with his grip, he licks hot and rough at your folds, searching until he finds your clit. He licks over it teasingly then sucks just right and you cry out, thighs clenching around his head as you try to push at his head but he only grins into you, continuing to eat you out like he hadn't eaten in days. Neteyam strokes his cock languidly, sighing out of his nose as he watches you arch into Ao'nungs mouth.
"Please- Oh, shit, fuck," you whine, pleading for him to stop or to keep going, you don't know. All you know is that this is heaven despite your clit being oversensitive. Your hands grasp into his braid, tugging and he growls into your cunt.
He disconnects from your clit only to press his tongue into your waiting hole, the bridge of his nose perfectly grinding into the bundle of nerves as he fucks his tongue into you. He's enjoying this so much, he grinds his cock into the bedding.
You're reaching that crest quick, moans and whines are tumbling out of your mouth as you drag his face into your pussy. Everything snaps, you cry out desperately as you cum again, right on his tongue. He moans into you as your walls pulse around his appendage. He drags it out for a few moments and you whine, weakly pushing him away and he chuckles. He rises, and you blink up at him and shiver at the sight. His nose, chin, lips, even dripping down his neck is your slick. Shiny and a lot.
He grins,"You taste so sweet, paskalin."
You blink lazily, but then your gaze then snaps down to his waist and you swallow thickly.
He's huge- that same light teal color with a deeper blueish purple color at the base, small ridges flaring up around the base and those little tahni coming up in a pattern.
He comes in close, stroking himself after wiping his face of your slick. He gently cups your hip in one hand, lifting you slightly and prodding at your hole with his cock.
He gazes up at you,"Ready?"
And you nod quickly,"Yeah, yes," with a rasp.
He presses in, and there's little to no resistance so his tip pops in with ease, slowly filling your walls.
You choke on a moan, head craning back in shock. Neteyam watches, gently cupping your cheek and nodding at you, whispering praises that have your body lighting up even moreso.
Soon, Ao'nung presses completely inside, hips flush with yours. He grinds into you, leaning forward and bracketing his arms on either side of your head, then he pulls out, only to thrust back in. He tests the waters a few times, then finds a good rhythm, building up his speed.
All you can do is release punched out moans and whines, clinging to the underside of his biceps.
The Omiticaya sighs, fist speeding up around his cock and reaching down to thumb at your nipples.
Your cunt tightens around Ao'nung, pulsing hot and wet, slick leaking from your hole as he fucks into you quicker.
You feel it coming, unable to breathe for a moment as this one came around too quick, and your back almost hurts as you arch upward, crying out as it gushes through you. You cum hard, collapsing against the fabrics and struggle to catch your breath. He's relentless, though, continuing to drill his cock into you at a near punishing pace, hitting every sensitive spot inside and his pubic bone almost smacking against your clit. He finally leans down, groaning into your neck and biting the side of your neck lightly as he presses his hips flush to yours, cumming deep into you. You sigh shakily, bones like jelly and your chest heaves.
He takes a moment, and Neteyam brushes his thumb over your cheek tenderly while brushing away some stray hairs.
Ao'nung finally pulls out, gentle and slow, and you groan as your cunt clenches around nothing. Cum spills out of you and the metkayina grins at the sight.
He's quick to lean down, lifting you gently. You go with ease, after all not feeling your bones makes you pretty pliable.
"Neteyam, lay down, sit down, whatever," Ao'nung instructs, turning me around in his hold to face the Omiticaya.
Neteyam sits back, leaning against a beam and cups your hips as Ao'nung brings you closer,"Can you take me as well?"
You lick your lips, grinning weakly,"Not a quitter," and you chuckle weakly.
He grins, shaking his head before gripping the base and aiming, other hand clinging to your waist and Ao'nung gently guides you down onto his friends cock.
You whine, head tilting back onto Ao'nungs shoulder when you finally take Neteyam to the hilt.
The metkayina keeps you there for a moment and you breath shakily.
The Omiticaya reaches so much deeper at this angle, tip kissing your cervix.
You moan airily, hips gyrating on the cock and the shaft rubs at your inner walls perfectly.
You're then lifted, then thrusted back down his length with a broken cry.
Again; lifted, then dropped, completely at Ao'nung and Neteyams mercy as the metkayina fucks you onto his friends cock.
"Great mother- how are you still this tight?" The sully groans, fangs bared in a pleasured grimace. He moans, panting as your pussy clenches around him, not wanting to release him.
Ao'nung keeps helping you, and you're beyond thankful because you could not feel your thighs.
Slick drips down onto Neteyam, making every time you're dropped down create a wet slap. Your moans are drawn out, incoherent and desperate despite having already came 3 times.
"Look at our good girl, Neteyam," Ao'nung praises and you whine, embarrassed.
Neteyam grins, hand squeezing your hip in appreciation before drifting the other hand down to thumb at your sensitive clit.
You choke on a cry, your hands weakly trying to slap the hand away but to no avail.
"Pleasepleaseplease," you whine, groaning in desperation.
Ao'nung kisses your neck, rolling your hips up and down, quickening the pace and grinning at your desperate cries and moans.
You don't even have time to prepare for this one, it practically sucker punches you. Your pussy clenches again around the cock, seemingly milking it, and your vision blacks out as you cum, head tilted back in a silent gape. You squirt and it leaks down onto Neteyams navel.
Ao'nung just keeps bringing you up and down before the Omiticaya finally grips your hips tight and tugging you down flush on his cock. He groans deeply, also tilting his head back as he cums into you.
You remain on him for a while until you're able to come back to your senses, breathing finally normal and blinking blearily as you slump against Neteyam.
Ao'nung had spent that time to grab water, towels, and extra blankets.
You're in and out of sleep, only waking when Neteyam gently lifts you off of him and groaning at the emptiness, then when they're cleaning you gently.
They manage to wake you long enough to drink some water, dabbing away the sweat across your forehead and chest.
You're dozing off officially when they set you down in bed, curling up on either side.
They whisper praises, kissing your lips, cheeks, shoulders.
You slept real good that night.

When you stepped on stage, the crowd cheered as if their life depended on it and Lo'ak who was already suck into the spirit of the concert cheered along with them.
This man would definitely do anything he can to obtain a glowstick or turn on the flashlight on his phone (it's Norm's). He'd have the best time of his life moving along with the crowd to make ocean waves.
Throughout the entire performance, he literally can't take his eyes off you, the way you sing/rap as your body moved along to the groove. It's hypnotising.
You really got broski jumping and screaming 😭😭
After the show is over, expect him to buy tons of your merch and a signed album from you after this. You've just scored yourself a hardcore fan.
NETAYAM
Tumblr media
To be honest he was confused about everything after stepping into the stadium. He and the rest were able to get front rows thanks to Jake but all he was filled in about this was that it was similar to a festival.
So he figured, oh, this must be somewhat similar to the festivals they have back on Pandora, where the Na'vis dance and celebrate.
But boy was he wrong. So wrong.
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH CONFETTI AND FIRE
I like to think that the first half of the concert he's just looking around awkwardly, feeling completely out of place until he sees his friends especially Lo'ak enjoying themselves that he finally decides to join it.
The most he can do is just sway his body along to the beat.
This man doesn't know much about letting loose 🤷🏻‍♀️
Though surely by the end of the concert, he would find himself enjoying the whole thing thanks to the energy you brought to the performances.
Will he come back again if he gets the chance to? Sure, why not.
KIRI
Tumblr media
She's admiring every tiny detail about the place. It was like entering a whole new world.
The theme, the colours, not to mention your awesome merch!!
I like to think that she bought herself a bracelet before the concert even starts. And the fact you made all of them by hand to prove your love for your fans like HELLO?!??! A FAV ALREADY!!
Next to Lo'ak, she's the second to have the most fun.
A funny moment during the concert was when she grabbed Lo'ak's phone (still Norm's) to search up the song lyrics. The results ending up with them both bawling out the lyrics to a sad song of yours like a bunch of heartbroken teens.
When you threw your hat to the crowd before ending the show, she was lucky enough to catch it.
It's hers now 😈🤘
Trust me when I said the second you whipped out a guitar and began shredding, she SCREAMED. Her voice is very much gone after today 😭
All in all she would KILL to go to your next upcoming concert. She will force Jake to bring her, no questions asked.
AONUNG
Tumblr media
How did he even get dragged into this whole fiasco? Oh right, Tsireya dragged him along.
He's judging everyone once he's there. I'm talking arms crossed and looking down at everybody. EVERY. BODY.
Especially Lo'ak.
When the lights went out and some were turned on to shine on the stage to show your ascend to the stage. He physically flinched by the screams and cheers of the crowd.
He's baffled. Are you like their clan leader or something? Why is everyone so fascinated by you?
Then a kind of melody started to play and you were singing/rapping into what he was told to be a microphone. The whole stadium echoed your voice as everybody sang along with you.
If he hadn't known better he would have thought this was a cult.
Even with his behaviour towards this whole concert, he would find himself to be entertained by your performance.
Like you are all over the place, but in a good way. How you try to hype up the crowd to match your energy and how you're running around the stage to include every area of the crowd was amusing to say the least.
After the show is over, he would surprisingly catch himself being disappointed by the fact it had ended. He will not admit to have liked the entire thing but if anyone happens to offer him to come along for your next concert, he'd say yes after a few tries of pretending to dislike your concerts.
TSIREYA
Tumblr media
She's so shy being in such a new environment. It doesn't help that it's in a crowded stadium either.
But when the music started playing and you began performing, she can't help but find the vibrations radiating from the speakers oddly relaxing.
And your look is GORGEOUS!! The makeup, the hair and the flashy outfits?!?!?
She's completely mesmerised.
She doesn't know how but she'd find herself cheering you on halfway through the performance. It had to be your stage presence that got her to even your energy.
Girly almost fainted when you locked eyes with her amongst the crowd. You flashed her a sweet smile and naturally she smiled back.
Lo'ak and Kiri never stops asking her about that moment even on their way back to Pandora.
After that day she would be so invested in everything about you, she can trust Kiri and Lo'ak to provide her the media sources.
Interviews, music videos, they've got it and they've watched it.
She would definitely be the person to ask Aonung to bring her to another of your concerts. No is not an option.

Spider and Tuk being the bestest siblings ever and spider being the mvp big brother we all know he is hc's (modern + adopted spi au addition):
Before he could drive he would wait at Tuk's bus stop to get her off the bus. He insisted on doing it to "ease the workload on his parents" (since with Jake and Neytiri's work schedule, Tuk would have to go to an afterschool program and someone would have to pick her up) which it does, but it was really cause he liked to have the quality time with Tuk.
On their walk home he would ask her about school. He asks about what she did, if she brought anything home she wanted to show him (normally stuff from art class), if she did anything special or fun, that sort of stuff. He also stays up to date on her school gossip and makes sure no one's bothering his baby sis.
They hold hands the whole walk home, and more often than not he ends up carrying her or her bag for her.
Once he gets his license he picks her up from school and fills the 45 minute-ish time she would have normally spent on the bus and walking home at the park or getting ice cream or something else of the like.
When they get home he makes sure to look at anything she brought home. All the cool stuff first; art, school work she's proud of, a pretty pebble, or the occasional half wilted flower from the recess field. He makes sure to give all the praise and compliments possible, especially to the art and school work, cause he's supporting those skills early. Then he makes sure he gets all the homework, permission slips, things like that.
When his siblings ask why he does it, he says, "Who's gonna ask her to see what she drew during recess? Who's gonna ask if she did anything fun with her best friend? Who's gonna make sure she's not left out of the loop? We're a busy family, I don't want her getting left out just cause she's little, I'll ask, I like doing it anyway" he knows his family's busy, he knows Tuk tends to fall to the background cause she's the youngest, and that Jake and Neytiri are busy trying to keep them all afloat, so he takes care of Tuk.
He helps her with her homework and never raises his voice or gets frustrated. He sits next to her and they figure it out together.
He's always proud of her, even for the little things, so he's always giving her hugs and kissing her hair and other classic big brother things.
More often than not, Spider puts Tuk to bed. Either Jake and Neytiri give up trying to tame the "cranky banshee" (what Spider call her when she's tired) of a child and call Spider in, or she asks for him. He'll lay down next to her and pull her close and tell her stories until she gets sleepy and cuddled into him. Only then does he pull out the "put'em to sleep" combo, as he calls it; he hum to her (he hums "a la nanita na", like his mama used to hum to him, fight me) while rubbing her back with one hand and plays with her braids with the other. She's out like a light in a few minutes every time.
He often refers to her as a little banshee whenever she's being feisty or especially energetic.
There was an almost 2 month streak where Tuk would only sleep if Spider stayed in her room for the night or if she was in Spider's bed (which she preferred cause it was bigger and cozier). Spider didn't mind so he gave in almost immediately. Best sleep he got in years, even with the bony knees and elbows poking him.
Spider will sacrifice himself when she gets sick, opting to be the one to go comfort her, knowing he'll be sick soon after. He has spent many nights holding her on the bathroom floor and wiping snotty noses. (he always gets it and gets it *worse* but it's worth it for his baby sis)
Tuk always does he best to take care of him after. She'll sit in bed with him and pet his hair or bring him snacks/water. When she was little, she'd bring out all her Doc McStuffin's toys (cause she'd love Doc McStuffin's, again, fight me) and try and 'make him better'
Spider has the strongest cuteness aggression ever for Tuk, like, he wants to squish her and bite her and squeeze her and shake her, with all of the love in the world. He satiates himself by snatching her, flopping on the floor, and bear hugging her as tight as he can, with his legs too, and just rolling back and forth till she's giggling so hard she can't breathe.
He is deeply invested in multiple children's shows because of how often he watches them with her. (His favorite is Wild Kratts, Paw Patrol, and Ninja Turtles)
(this one next one is so random but Spi and Tuk have pastina lover vibes, again, I dare you to fight me on this)
Spider spent time in the system and fending for himself, meaning he picked up a lot of easy recipes, one of which, was pastina with butter, broth, and cheese. He passed this on to Tuk, who has now decided this is the best snack ever and asks him to make it all the time.
Spider works out, just so he can carry her around forever and ever.
He always make sure that he and his older little siblings always give time to Tuk and involve her in their play.
They go on day trips after he gets his license, sometimes just the two of them, other times with all the Sully kids. They go to museums and science centers and such. He again holds her hand most of the time, or makes sure that she doesn't get lost while playing.
Worries over her constantly.
They trade art all the time. He'll make her a knew piece of jewelry and she'll give him a new painting to keep in his room.
He has a picture of her in his wallet.
He takes so many photos of her, he's like a facebook mom. Lo'ak makes fun of him.
He's teaching her how to skateboard, cause she thinks he's the coolest ever cause he knows how to skateboard. He got her a pretty skateboard and hot pink gear (in which he went overboard in buying considering her basically bought her a hot pink suit of armor) and helped her decorate it. He also makes sure she's not picked on when they go to the skate park.
He kisses every boo boo.
He makes and (never ever breaks) lots of pinky promises.
they have a special handshake.
When the Sully's go out anywhere, you can tell when Tuk wants to go home, because she'll be in Spi's arms, cause he'd never turn down an opportunity to hold his baby sister.
They match hair beads. Spi will always have at least one that matches with hers at all times, and Tuk will have one of his on the braid behind her ear so she can fiddle with it.
Tuk always double and triple checks that Spider has his inhaler (he doesn't know how she remembers better than he can)
She wears his shirts to bed a lot. They're big and soft and who could blame her?
should I do more of these (maybe one for each sibling?)

Hi! Can u do a short Drabble with auntie sully giving everyone pizza for the first time?
Tumblr media
AVATAR MASTERLIST
Note: I invite you to read all the parts of my " Auntie Y/N Sully" series so you can understand more about the relationship and the characters.
"Mom, when are auntie y/n and daddy coming back? I'm bored" speaks tuk, complaining next to his mother. She always used to be by your side at this time, but it had already been many hours. "Relax, they'll be right back," says neytiri, cutting up some food for that day's dinner. "ruk'e why aren't you with dad and aunt y/n?" asks tuk, looking at his uncle. Ruk'e laughs out loud, holding his child in his arms. "Ah ah not my type to go and be investigating, looking for trouble" refuses ruk'e, and it was very true. Ruk'e was a pacifist, he preferred to be taking care of home, taking care of his children. In fact… ruk'e was the one who used to stay behind to take care of all the children while you did the routine inspections, near the metkayina clan. This time neytiri decided to stay home and help ruk'e, she had hurt her rib a little. Something she didn't like, she liked to go with you and Jake to the routines.
Some time later, you can hear the voice of y/n and jake approaching. Both were pure laughter, while the little tuk got up running as fast as she could towards you. "Y/n" yells tuk, hugging you tightly. The little girl had grown so much, she was already much bigger than you. But she was still your little girl. Behind her, your children and nephews followed. Hugging you and asking how you were doing, very excited. "Hey…I'm here too" says Jake. "So yeah…hi daddy" says neteyam, looking quickly at jake, then looking at you. Causing you to laugh. The ride had been smooth, everything seemed to be under control. You asked Eywa every day to keep everything going smoothly, for the sake of your family.
During the investigation, you came across an abandoned boat. A ship that contained a lot of material, such as weapons, monitions, medicine and military food. Military food that you liked. You had a bag full of it, sitting next to your partner. Putting the bag aside, to hold your baby in your arms. "My y/n…we miss you" you look over and take your baby to your chest. She was already 1 year old, and a beautiful half human and na'vi baby. "She has eaten too much today" ruk'e says, giving you a smile. Kissing the crown of your head. "I'm glad you're okay, babe" ruk'e says. Looking curiously at the bag you had next to you. " Hey and what's up with that?" asks your mate. This gets the attention of your sons and nephews. Spider and rotxo quickly approach, and try to open the bag. While your other nephews and nieces, sit down next to you. Right next to their mother and father.
"Oh? That bag has precious food in it" you joke, but you speak with a lot of excitement. Jake makes a disgusted face. He didn't understand what you saw in that processed food. "Precious…food" neytiri speaks, a part of her was offended. She used to cook for the whole family, and you always said how well she cooked. Now she too was curious about what was in that bag. You hand your baby to your mate, taking the bag in your lap. You open it to take out the small brown bag. On the label it said "pizza". "That bag…it's ugly," says lo'ak, watching as you give him a dirty look.
"Listen…this was my favorite food on the base. They used to give out fresh food, but at night, they'd give out these bags of food. And I used to go eat them with trudy, while we talked about the day" you pause, remembering your friend. "Is that human food?" asks kiri, taking one of the bags that was in the suitcase. "Yes…a disgusting one. I don't know how you ate that," says jake, sticking out his tongue in disgust. If there was one thing he hated, it was that military stored food. "Don't say that…pizza and Mexican rice are the best" you joke, watching as jake continued to cringe in disgust. While everyone looked on curiously.
"Want to try?" you ask, noticing how your nephews face lights up. "ahhh NO!" says jake, taking tuk, in the air as the girl giggled. "If they eat that they will die" jake speaks, as kiri throws the bag on the ground. "Don't listen to him…this food is fine. Here" and yes you were right, this food was about 6 years away from expiring. You start handing a bag to each child. "Mom…how many meals do you have?" asks spider, noticing that there were more in the bag. You laugh, listening to Jake sigh. "'She took all of them,' says Jake.
"Ok….follow in my footsteps" you start explaining everything. All the children of the family started to follow you, even ruk'e joined in. Jake and neytiri just watched the show, while holding their niece in their arms. You open the package, and begin to take out the tortilla, the red sauce packet. The small package of mozzarella cheese and the pepperoni. The kids copy your every step, amazed by everything they were seeing. "Well, first they are going to take the dough, then carefully open the sauce packet" you speak, while you break the plastic with your mouth. "And after we put the sauce we put the cheese and then the pepperoni" you speak. Ruk'e laughs a little, while watching you prepare that strange food. You looked so excited and cute.
"And then you're going to throw that thing away" jake says, trying to take the pizza away from kiri. But you reach over and smack him upside the head. "Nooo, now they eat it" you take a bite out of it. Your nephews and sons hesitate for a moment, but take a small bite. Not like the pizza was big for them. Chewing and savoring the strange food for a bit. "mmm doesn't taste bad, but no…." Neteyam hesitates for a bit, and jake chuckles giving him a slap on his son's shoulder. "Are you serious? It's really good" says rotxo, while spider supported him with a mouthful of food.
The other kids only tried the pizza, so you ended up eating all of them. The more you ate, the more Jake got worried. "Sis…I know you love that disgusting stuff, but it's not good for you to eat so much," says Jake. You just roll your eyes, sometimes he could be a little over the top with you.
After a while, the whole family was getting along normally. But you were starting to get a lot of stomach aches. Complaining about the pain. "ma y/n…are you ok?" asks ruk'e, he had noticed how you were leaning more on him. "I'm fine…. is just aughh" you complain, touching your stomach. "Ja tell you so!" says jake, as the scared look on tuk'e's face began to draw. " Auntie y/n is going to die!!!" yells tuk. "I'm not going to die" you try to calm the little girl down. Ruk'e gets up from the floor, sighing in frustration. "Well, family see you later, I have to make some tea" speaks the man, as he helps you off the ground.
Behind his parents, were spider and rotxo who was carrying his little sister. "Let me know if you need anything" shouts neytiri from far away. Seeing how you were walking with difficulty due to stomach pain. "See I told you, that food is disgusting" speaks Jake. Neytiri laughs a little, she was sure it wasn't the food, but the amount you had eaten that caused your stomach pain.
Jake and the children went off to do other things, leaving Neytiri alone for a moment. She was going to go check on you, and help ruk'e. But before she got up, she noticed that there was a piece of pizza left over. Taking it for a moment and looking at it. She was going to try that strange food, she wanted to know why you liked this so much, even more than her food. Neytiri took a small bite, as the flavors touched her taste glands. Her ears perked up, and her tail began to wag with excitement. Oh my eywa, this was delicious. On the other hand, jake turned to ask neytiri something, but saw how she was chewing the pizza. "Ahh no no spit that out" runs jake towards neytiri, watching as she stands up laughing while he starts chasing after her.

Tumblr media
tìyo’ [tɪ.ˈjoʔ̚] n. perfection
Anonymous Request: Could you write a neteyam x reader as she fell first, he fell harder trope and by harder I mean him literally being obsessed with her (in a good way ofc)?
3.2k words
Though our clan was large, it was not so large that I did not grow up knowing all the other children my age, and those my older brother's age, as well.
Neteyam wasn't my brother's friend, per se, but he did run in similar circles; after all, they were small circles. My brother was unimpressed with the chief's son, but he was unimpressed with most people, so it wasn't surprising.
I paid Neteyam little to no mind until we were older. Lo'ak was my age, but we scarcely interacted, though I thought he was a nice boy, if not a little reckless.
In our pre-teen years, Lo'ak and I had come together by happenstance; going on the same hunts, choosing our ikrans on the same day, finding out we had common interests and overbearingly perfect older siblings.
In our growing, still casual friendship, it was then that I really noticed Neteyam.
At first, I was just impressed and somewhat intimidated by him. Even though he was barely 17, he was the best hunter in our clan, by far. He was also an impressive fisherman, skilled at weaving nets and tossing his spear, and on top of it all, he seemed, from our limited interaction, kind and caring.
Lo'ak complained about him, but I knew they were close, and he admired his brother, the way I did mine. It was almost a resentful admiration; our brothers possessed qualities that were admired by all, that we didn't possess.
Neteyam was a model eldest son, admired by all and rarely admonished by his parents - Lo'ak was a little wild, erring on the side of breaking the rules.
No'vu and I had a different dynamic. He was the wild one, with a free spirit and very little care towards what others thought of him. I had always been more reserved and buttoned up, cautious and a little anxious, and I envied his relaxed demeanor.
It brought Lo'ak and I closer, as friends, and afforded me more opportunities to be around Neteyam. And every time I was near him, my crush deepened, until I was nearly 21, and the crush was turning into something more; something I was almost growing worried about.
Because I didn't think he had really noticed me, and wasn't sure he ever would.
--
All of the responsibilities that come with being the oldest son of the Olo'eyktan had nearly taken over Neteyam's life, and by the time he was approaching 23 years old, he realized how all-consuming they had become.
His father was still young, very healthy, and would be their leader for years to come.
Neteyam felt now that he was ready to step back from training, to live a life and find a mate, and enjoy himself before true responsibility sat on his shoulders.
It wasn't easy to approach his father and tell him this, but surprisingly, Jake understood. Maybe years of focused training had paid off, plus, Jake did mention this would afford him more time to focus on Lo'ak, who he sometimes worried felt overlooked.
The next morning, Neteyam woke up feeling directionless. Without a rigorous schedule to follow, he wasn't sure what to do with his time. His father had woken Lo'ak up early for a hunt, and he knew Lo'ak would be equally pleased and pissed, so Neteyam simply rolled out of his hammock and grabbed something to eat.
"What will you do today?" Kiri asked, and Neteyam just shrugged in response. "Come help me then," Kiri said. "No'vu and Y/N's mother is ill, and I'm paying her a visit."
With nothing really better to do, Neteyam agreed. It would be interesting to watch Kiri work, and he hadn't spent much time with her lately. He knew No’vu, but hadn’t been aware the wild Omaticayan man a sibling. Y/N was an unfamiliar name to him. He wondered if she was as brash and fearless as her brother was known to be.
When they arrived to the family's home, Eik Te lay on the floor, covered by a blanket, with her daughter at her side. She appeared to be asleep at first, but Neteyam noticed then that her eyes were open, just barely. She looked beyond sick - she looked gravely ill.
Kiri knelt by her side, next to Y/N, who was holding her mother's hand. No'vu was pacing outside the hut, and their father, Onpxew, was nowhere to be seen - likely hunting or fishing for the family.
"How is she today?" Kiri asked, and Y/N tried to muster up a smile, glancing up at Neteyam.
"Better," she said. "She said a few words, drank a little water. Better than yesterday."
Kiri sighed. "Good, that's good."
She rummaged through the basket she had brought, pulling out different powders and liquids, mixing something together. She felt the woman's forehead, focusing. "Her fever seems to be going down. I think this will pass, but it may be a few days yet before we can be sure."
Y/N nodded, looking stoically down at her mother, who's eyes were open a little wider now.
"Thank you, Kiri," Eik Te said, her voice dry and slow, and Kiri shushed her.
"You just get better. Step outside with me, Y/N," Kiri said. "Oh, also, this is Neteyam. He's learning a little about healing today."
Y/N stood up, and nodded to Neteyam. "We've met," she said.
Neteyam was sure that was true, but he didn't remember this woman - which surprised him.
When she stood, she was taller than average - much taller than Kiri, likely taller than her mother, and most other women in the clan. Her eyes were wide, a beautiful amber, and the spots around them danced even in the day light. Her hair was long, nearly to her waist, braided in tiny braids that looked like they must've taken days to complete.
As they walked, she carried herself with assuredness and grace. As she and Kiri spoke outside about her mother's condition, he watched her round lips move over straight, white teeth.
He had never seen anyone so beautiful. He tried to remember her, but nothing was coming to mind. Had he truly met her, and overlooked her?
Before he knew it, Kiri was saying her goodbyes, and Neteyam felt obligated to say something. "Let us know if you need anything, Y/N. I'm happy to hunt for you, or bring you more blankets and rugs."
Y/N smiled, and it was stunning, practically stopping his heart. "Thank you, Neteyam."
Next to him, Kiri was rolling his eyes. "I just said that. Let's go." She pulled on her brother's arm, and reluctantly, he followed her.
--
After that day, Neteyam saw Y/N everywhere he went. She was at the fire pits when he brought in a kill, and she was ascending to ride her ikran at the same time as him; she was even at the same swimming hole. When he wasn't running into her, he was thinking about her, and asking Kiri for anything she knew about the girl - which wasn't much. Just that she was quiet, seemed very much unlike her rash older brother, close to her family, and a very talented ikran rider; one of the most impressive in the clan.
Neteyam obsessed over her, going over every detail of her again and again in his mind; her tall stature, her soft, light voice, the concern in her eyes when she spoke to Kiri about her mother; he even dreamed about her at night.
He wondered what he had thought about, before he met her, and he wondered how it was possible that he had never before noticed someone like her.
Four days later, they were finally able to speak, when Neteyam ran into her just outside of Home Tree.
"Y/N," he said, jogging over to her. "How is your mother?"
He could see the relief in her eyes as she smiled. "So much better, thank you! Kiri is a miracle worker. I am trying to think of a gift for her, actually. What would she like? I could make a necklace, or…”
Netyeam blurted out the first thing he could think of. "A friend."
Y/N's eyebrows rose. "Oh? Well that's certainly an easy gift to give. After all, Lo'ak is already a friend."
Lo'ak was friends with Y/N? Since when? Jealously sparked in Neteyam. "Sit with my family, at the feast tomorrow. You can... talk to Kiri," he said. But of course, that wasn't why Neteyam wanted her to join his family.
She reached out, touching his arm just momentarily, and he froze up at her gentle touch. "I'd be glad to! Come find me before, so I don't wander around looking for you."
--
Mom was still tired, so the rest of my family was staying behind and skipping the celebratory feast, but my father insisted I go - especially after he found out I had been asked to sit with Lo'ak's family.
Or should I be referring to them as Neteyam's family?
Our meeting earlier had been so strange. The nervous energy around Neteyam was catching, and I felt a little anxious as I dressed for the feast. Mom painted my face, down to my chest, and the moment she was done, No'vu was announcing Neteyam's approach.
Wanting to avoid an awkward encounter with my family and the eldest son of Taruk Makto, I charged out of our alcove to meet Neteyam, waving and calling goodbye over my shoulder.
Neteyam looked stunned to see me charging towards him and I stopped, a little embarrassed at my eagerness. "Sorry," I said when I reached him. "Mom is still feeling a little sick. I didn't want to disturb her."
"Oh, sure," Neteyam nodded, and an awkward pause surfaced between us that I was unsure how to get over.
When I was with Lo'ak, he did most of the talking. Neteyam was a little more quiet than his younger brother.
"You look beautiful," he said, and my jaw nearly fell open.
I had been trying to figure out all day why Neteyam would invite me to sit with his family, as the idea of him hoping I would become friends with Kiri seemed unlikely, but I couldn't sort out another motive.
It seemed impossible that it could be because he wanted to spend time with me. After all, I could tell the other day when he and Kiri had come to visit mom, that when I said we'd met before, he had no recollection.
It had stung a little bit, but ever since then, he'd been looking at me so funny every time we ran into each other. If I didn't know better, I would've thought he was staring, but I couldn't figure out why.
"Thank you," I replied, casting my eyes downward. "Let's go!"
He extended his hand, and eagerly, I took it.
As we walked, Neteyam asked me about my ikran, and even though he couldn't have known, it was the easiest way to get me to open up. I talked about her the entire way; our first meeting, our best rides, everything we'd accomplished together and how much I loved her.
"She's my best friend," I said with a shrug. "I know that's kind of silly but she's just, so wonderful. You'll have to meet her."
"I would love to," Neteyam replied with a smile.
The festival was well underway when we arrived at the Tree of Souls, the drums pounding, the smell of spices and fresh food in the air.
Pulling my hand, Neteyam wove his way through the crowd, to the Tree of Souls, where his family and those closest to them sat.
Neteyam nodded to his father, who nodded back. "Father, this is Y/N, daughter of Onpxew and Eik Te."
"How's your mother?" Jakesully asked.
"Thank you, Olo'eyektan," I replied, touching my hand to my forehead, then lowering it as I bowed out of respect. "Much better, thanks to Kiri." I turned to smile at his daughter, who smiled back. Lo'ak, standing just next to her, waved, a confused look on his face.
"That's good to hear. Join us."
We stepped up, and I took a seat just next to Neteyam, between him and Kiri.
"I'm so glad your mom is doing better," Kiri said. I reached out and touched her shoulder.
"It's thanks to you! You'll have to stop by, she'll want to see you again when she's feeling fully herself."
Kiri smiled. "I will!"
Lo'ak leaned forward. "Y/N, what are you doing here?"
I had to laugh, because it was so like Lo'ak to be blunt. Anyone else saying that would have made me feel awkward and out of place, sitting here with this prominent family, but Lo'ak was just genuinely wondering.
"Neteyam invited me. I haven't seen you much lately, so I had to make new friends."
Lo'ak rolled his eyes. "And of all people, you had to keep it in this family."
I shrugged. "I like this family."
--
Neteyam's father gave a long speech about the prosperity of The People, and Neytiri and Nina sang a beautiful song, and afterwards, the dancing begun.
Before Neteyam could ask Y/N himself, Lo'ak had swept her into the dance floor, leaving Neteyam to stand and watch, his arms crossed and his brow furrowed.
"What's wrong with you?" Kiri asked, trying to follow Neteyam's gaze, but the dance floor was moving too fast.
Then, she saw it. Lo'ak, spinning Y/N around, the both of them laughing and having fun. She'd always wondered if Lo'ak was secretly in love with Y/N, but the more she observed the two, the more she saw it was a poor fit, and neither of them was interested.
What she saw in Neteyam's eyes was very different. He was jealous of Lo'ak.
"You like Y/N," Kiri said.
"Of course I do. You've met her," Neteyam replied matter of factly, and Kiri laughed.
"I have. She's great. Lo'ak thinks so too, but he doesn't like her that way. He would have told her."
Neteyam narrowed his eyes. "It doesn't look that way to me. I didn't even know they were friends."
"How? She's one of his closest friends. You didn't notice?"
“I don’t know,” Neteyam said, reaching behind his head, shrugging at his sister. “It’s like I never saw her before.”
“Well, do you see her now?” Kiri asked, trying but failing to keep the annoyance out of her voice.
Neteyam’s arm fell to his side, and he sighed. “She’s all I see.”
"Well, just tell her," Kiri replied, and Neteyam snorted.
But... it wasn't a bad idea.
--
Lo'ak and I had been spinning around for far too long, and I was growing tired. We returned to his family, but Neteyam was no longer there.
Lo'ak and I sat down, and he handed me a drink.
"Neteyam invited you to join us?" Lo'ak asked.
"Yeah. He came with Kiri the other day, to visit mom, and he's been like... acting a little funny since."
Lo'ak narrowed his eyes. "Hm." That was the extend of the wisdom he had to offer me, and I wish he was Kiri instead.
"Do you want to dance?"
I whipped my head around to see Neteyam standing over me, extending a hand, and I clambered onto my feet as fast as my lanky limbs would allow, grabbing his hand in the process, allowing him to lead me back into the crowd.
This dance was slower, more traditional, and though Neteyam knew all the steps and fell in sync with everyone else, I was a little unsure, and a little behind, fumbling over my feet. With Lo'ak, I didn't care, because I knew he didn't take it seriously - but Neteyam was so precise and perfect, I didn't want to mess up.
Halfway through the song, we were brought together again, his arm around my waist and mine around his neck. "Let's take a walk," he whispered, and without hesitation, I nodded.
--
Away from the crowd, the night was cool, and the paint we were adorned with glowed in the darkness, along with the forest around us. We walked quietly, our hands still entwined, and finally, Neteyam spoke.
"I must apologize to you, Y/N," he said, stopping us in our tracks. I turned to face him.
"What for?"
"The other day, in your home, you said we had met before, but I... I didn't remember meeting you before."
Though the words weren't a surprise, they stung; it meant I had spent years having a crush on someone who hadn't even noticed me, even though we'd frequently been in close proximity.
"That's okay, Neteyam. I'm just your little brother's friend. I don't know all of No'vu's friends either."
He shook his head. "No, but I should have noticed you, Y/N. I was busy with training, and preparing to lead the clan, and just recently I told my father I want to take a step back from all that. To enjoy life, to form... relationships."
To find a mate, he was saying, without saying it.
"And I think, if I hadn't been so focused, I would have noticed you. I can't believe I didn't before. Something about you..." he trailed off, staring down at me, and I wondered if he could hear my heart wildly beating in my chest, or feel my hand growing cold and clammy inside of his.
"Well, I noticed you," I said finally, as he searched for his next words. "I mean, of course everyone knows who you are... but when I became friends with Lo'ak, I really noticed you."
Finally, Neteyam's nervous face relaxed, slowly replaced by a teasing smile. "Oh yeah? What did you notice?"
"Well, I was only like 14, so at first not much. But then I noticed how handsome you were becoming, how skilled you are with a bow and a spear, how kind you were towards your family and friends... I had a crush on you, when I was 17."
"And now?" he asked, the teasing smile growing even wider still.
"Oh, I still think you're handsome," I replied with a laugh, giving him a playful shove.
"I think you're the most beautiful woman I've ever set eyes on, and the kindest as well, and I'd like to spend every spare moment from now forward getting to know you better," Neteyam said, and I could tell after, he was shocked that he had said it.
"Okay," I replied, unable to hide my smile.
"Okay?"
I nodded. "Let's do that. Spend time together. Get to know one another. I would like that." The joy I felt in that moment was undeniable, and overwhelming.
--
Neteyam's heart was going to leap out of his chest and onto the forest floor. He had blurted out exactly what he wanted - to spend every moment of every day obsessing over every small detail of her life that she was willing to share - and she had agreed to it.
She had eagerly agreed to it. He knew it was impractical to worship the ground she was walking on after only a few days, but he didn't care.
He was going to make this woman his mate, he knew it. He was going to fall in love with her - it was already happening.
"You are perfection," he said, reaching up to touch her face as he had been dreaming of doing. He ran his fingers along her jaw, over her cheek, down her nose and over her lips, and she closed her eyes, allowing him to. It sent a shiver up his spine.
No amount of time with her would be enough, but he would take anything she would give him.

A birthday to remember
Kaltxì, everyone 🤌🫴
These are my first headcanons on this account. If you have any tips, feel free to let me know :)
Summary: you never expected to celebrate your birthday on Pandora, but your friends have a nice surprise for you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
Your birthday used to be a very special day to you back on earth. This birthday however, you weren't on earth; you were on Pandora.
You knew that the Na'vi don't celebrate birthdays, so you were expecting your birthday to be a day like every other.
Except for the Sully and Metkayina kids. They planned a nice surprise for you.
They knew how special this day was for you and because you were good friends with them, they wanted to host a birthday party for you (in their own way).
Lo'ak started it all. Out of the Sully and Metkayina kids, he was the most familiar with birthdays because of the stories both you and Jake told him.
He had the idea of everyone preparing a gift for you and he wanted to make a special treat, just like a birthday cake. Except, he didn't know how so he went to Kiri for advise.
Kiri suggested to make a big feast consisting of different kinds of fruits, veggies and fish.
Ao'nung and Lo'ak gathered some fish while Tsireya and Kiri gathered fruits and veggies.
They even told Jake, Neytiri, Ronal and Tonowari about their plan and they decided to join them in their preparations. Ronal and Neytiri made the feast from the ingredients that the children gathered.
In the meantime Rotxo swam to the bottom of the ocean to gather some pearls for you. He chose the biggest and most shimmery ones. Tsireya also dove deep into the ocean, but instead of searching for pearls, she searched for the most colorful seashells.
Neteyam and Tuk went a little into the forest behind the village to look for some crystals.
Tuk also helped Spider to create some beautiful beads for you hair. They made them in different colours to match your hair and skintone perfectly, they even carved some dazzling figures in it (Tuk carved most of them because Spider kept messing it up, but he did colour all of the beads.
Kiri and Tsireya made a necklace out of the pearls, seashells and crystals that everyone had collected.
Even though Tonowari did not understand why they would celebrate your birthday (because why would everyone give you a present just because you've gotten a year older?), Jake convinced him to host a small party for you. Some of the clans best musicians would be there to perform at the party
After the communal dinner with the clan, you decided to go to the lab and binge watch gilmore girls all night long. Except Lo'ak stopped you.
'Where are you going?' he asked while jogging to catch up on you.
'To the lab,' you answered shortly, feeling a bit gloomy. Sometimes you missed earth, especially on you birthday.
'Don't go just yet,' Lo'ak answered as he softly took a hold of your arm. 'I want to show you something.'
Lo'ak then took you back to Awa'atlu and the sound of drums and singing filled your ears before you spotted a huge bonfire with people dancing and singing around it.
Tuk ran up to you as soon as she saw you and gave you a hug, wishing you a happy birthday, before she took your hand and dragged you to the bonfire where your friends were waiting.
They all wished you a happy birthday before giving you their gifts. Kiri and Tsireya gave you their necklace first. It was a big necklace, decorated with pink shells and white pearls. The purple crystals were small, but they really stood out against your skin, creating a perfect blend of light colours on you.
The beads that Spider and Tuk gave you were just as beautiful. They matched the colours of your necklace and the engravings consisted of different types of animals and flowers.
After you thanked everyone for their gifts, Ronal came with a huge plate filled with fruits, veggies and fish. It was a treat to the eye and you hoped that it tasted just as good as it looked.
You had a lot of fun during the evening and you sung and danced for as long as you legs could hold you.
You were very grateful of your friends and you never stopped thanking them.
This had to be the best night of your life and you would definitely prefer this over gilmore girls anytime.

Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3
“There child” Mo’at told you gently, standing over your shoulder as you crushed the herbs in the mortar. “Perfect.” You smiled to yourself. You were a decent healer, but hearing it from her directly meant everything. Kiri had always been the best healer, always would be, but you enjoyed the profession. Feeling like you could contribute with something else other than making clothes.
Alongside you and Kiri, there were two other healers in training, and everyone was currently busy helping a hunting party that had been attacked by a group of Nantang. None had been seriously injured, but there were a lot of bites and scratches to clean and bandage. They were lucky, it could have been worse. But since there were suddenly so many patients, the supply of medicines ran low. As Kiri and the other two worked on the patients, you were happy to sit in the corner, making more healing paste as fast as you could. The patients were an important part of being a healer, but the thing that had always interested you most was the science behind it. Discovering how new plants could optimize healing, which ones soothed pain, which ones killed bacteria. You had recently discovered that alternating the weaving pattern of the bandages caused more air to flow through without exposing the wounds to the elements. That way, it lessened the chance of infection.
“Emmy, can you pass me those?” Kiri asked, pointing to a pile of leaves next to you. She smiled in thanks as you gave them to her. Your real name was Emreyìte, meaning surviving daughter. It was a bit on the nose, but you liked it. You mother had labored for over two days to bring you into the world, and you nearly didn’t make it. The name was supposed to convey the strength you had already displayed coming into this world.
When you finished crushing the herbs, you put them in the water stewing above the fire. Stirring slowly, and evenly, the water slowly changed color. But it needed to steep for a little while longer. This particular mixture of herbs soothed pain very efficiently when boiled into a tea. But the taste wasn’t particularly pleasant, so you always added some sweetness in the hopes of counteracting the bitter taste. All the hunters were given a cup of the liquid to drink. They all grimaced badly, making you smile a little. It was terrible, but you were still experimenting with the recipe.
You all worked in quiet unison until all the hunters had been treated. It was well past the start of the communal dinner by then, evening setting in slowly. The other two healers went to get something to eat whilst Kiri helped Mo’at to her marui. You stayed behind to clean up. And also take inventory of how much of the supplies had been used. Hunger rumbled in your belly, but it would have to wait.
“Knock, knock” a voice murmured. A voice you knew all too well. Butterflies erupted in your stomach as your breath hitched.
You turned around and indeed. “Neteyam” you breathed. “What are you doing here?”
He shrugged, watching you with a small smile from under his eyelashes. “I saw all the other healers join the dinner, but not you. I figured you’d be here, too wrapped up in your research to eat again.” He held out a steaming bowl in front of you. “So I brought you this.”
The smell of Yerik stew filled your nostrils, making your stomach rumble again. Neteyam smirked, proving his point. “Thank you” you said, accepting his gift. But it was only when he stepped inside the hut properly that you noticed the wound on his shoulder, making you gasp slightly. “Neteyam, what happened to your shoulder?”
“Nothing! It’s fine, don’t worry about it” he assured you, but not very convincingly.
“That needs to be cleaned” you stated, setting the bowl aside. “What happened?” You looked at his expectantly until he finally caved, quirking his brow in your direction.
“I caught a tree branch during fighting practice” he admitted with a nonchalant tone. “It’s fine.”
“Did you clean it, at least?” you asked, observing the wound. You already knew the answer.
“Yes” Neteyam said.
“Well, not well enough. Sit! Does it hurt?”
“No.”
You quirked at eyebrow at him, your tail swishing impatiently.
“A bit.” Neteyam’s ears flicked as his eyes flitted between you and the bowl of Yerik stew. “Can you at least eat first? Waiting a couple of more minutes won’t kill me.” He smiled at you playfully. He was normally very reserved, the smiling Neteyam was usually saved for his family.
But you only huffed, filling a cup with the last of the tea from earlier. “Here, drink this while I eat.” As you sat down with your bowl of stew, Neteyam took a small gulp of the liquid in his cup. His brows furrowed but other than that, he did an okay job of hiding his disgust. But having known him since you were kids, you could tell when he hid the truth. “You can grimace, you know” you giggled over the bowl. “It won’t hurt my feelings. I know it’s disgusting.”
Neteyam hummed, only making a small grimace after his next sip. “It’s not the best” he admitted with a sheepish smile. “But it’s effective. And a lot better than the last time. You’re getting very good at this, experimenting with medicine.” You couldn’t help but blush at his praise.
But you had also just stuffed your mouth full of food, so the only answer he got was that damned blush you wished would go away. As soon as you finished the bowl, you go to work on his shoulder.
Your hand trembled slightly as it made contact with Neteyam’s warm skin, holding him steady while the other hand cleaned his wound with a cloth. Your hand rose and fell with each of his breaths, and you leaned in to see properly in the firelight. Eywa, he smelled so good. Always had. It was intoxicating, and also the reason why you never got too close to him.
Your family and the Sully family had been friends since forever, you and your brother grew up together with the Sully’s, but as your brother made lots of other friends, your only real friend was Kiri. Of course, Kiri came with Lo’ak, Spider and Tuk and they were great, like additional siblings. But they weren’t Neteyam. With his broad shoulders, gentle voice, infectious smile, kind heart and protective older brother demeanor, it was impossible to not gain a crush on him. That crush had lasted on and on since you were fourteen. At seventeen, even you had to admit to yourself that you had fallen in love with him. And how could you not? He was everything, had everything. He was the handsome son of the Olo'eyktan that all the women gazed after, giggled around and tried to flirt with. He was the dream you could never have. It had been clear over the years that he only saw you as a friend, as Kiri’s best friend. So you had become very good at dreaming in silence and later suppressing your feelings for the man sitting before you.
Dreams of exploring with him, laughing with him, him confessing his undying love for you and making you his mate. And also not so innocent dreams, dreams of being with him. Of him kissing you, running his hands all over your body, his mouth following suit, him pushing his cock deep into your pussy, joining his kuru with yours, finally creating that everlasting bond…
A hiss from the man in question broke you out of your train of thought. “Sorry” you whispered, your mouth and throat suddenly very dry.
“It’s okay” Neteyam whispered back. You could have sworn that his voice was deeper, throatier, but it disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. “It just stings a little.”
You nodded quietly and swallowed, desperately trying to regain some moisture in your mouth so you could get your voice back. Standing up, you took a deep breath that you hoped was subtle and went to get the Yalna bark mixture. This was exactly why you tried to avoid being too close to him. Every time those big golden orbs watched you intently or his smell surrounded you, thought and memories of your illicit fantasies caught up with you and you had to remember that Neteyam was destined for so much more than a healer who was more interested in playing with plants than helping her patients.
He was watching you right now, you could tell. His gaze burned at the back of your neck, but when you turned back around, he thankfully looked away. You had to say something, quickly. The longer you stayed quiet, more memories of last night flooded your brain. Those fantasies of him wrapping your legs around his neck before he-
“Why didn’t you come here before?” you blurt out, desperately avoiding eye contact, trying to calm the erratic beating of your heart.
Neteyam shrugged with his good shoulder, his eyes following the movement of you fingers as you dipped them in the mixture. “There were so many wounded hunters, thought you should prioritize them.”
You huffed at his stubbornness. “Skxawng” you muttered, trying to not take in how defined the muscles around his shoulder area were. “I al- we always have time for you” you corrected quickly. Please Eywa, don’t let him catch that slip up!
You dared a quick glance at his eyes, but you couldn’t read the expression there. He opened his mouth and closed it several times before speaking. “I’ll remember that” he breathed.
Quickly, you looked back down at his wound and shuffled closer to be able to apply the ointment. Too late you noticed that this position practically placed you between his legs. His knees rubbed against your waist as you leaned forward. Again, you placed one hand on his chest for support before rubbing your coated fingers over his wound.
A small groan left his lips. A groan that caused you to close your eyes and legs tighter together. Thank Eywa that your braids covered your face as you worked, if he saw the deep violet of your cheeks or your eyes that were more black than yellow, he’d probably bolt out and you’d have to dig yourself into a hole of embarrassment and stay there forever. There was nothing sexual about that groan! He was in pain, you reminded yourself. Still, all you could feel was the beating of your heart and the lightning bolts of pleasure going from your stomach to your core.
This was exactly why you needed to keep a safe distance from him! When there were other people around or you kept yourself at a respectable distance, it was easier to remember that all you would ever be was his friend. It made it easier to suppress everything.
As soon as you could, you bolted from your position as if you had just been burnt. Clearing your throat, you look away, letting your braids hide your face again. “Okay, you’re all set” you murmured under the guise of putting everything back at its rightful place.
You could hear Neteyam standing up behind you, shuffling about a little. “Thank you, Emreyìtre. I appreciate it.” It was so rare for someone to call you by your full name. It caused a flutter of your heart that made you feel both happy and sad at the same time. “Are you staying here long?”
Why did he want to know? Did it matter what you did? “Probably not” you answered slowly, finally turning around to face him. “We used up a lot of Mo’at’s supply today. I was going to forage some more for her so we can all start fresh tomorrow.”
“Now?” he questioned, gesturing to the setting sun outside of the tent. “It will be dark soon.”
You crossed your arms, tail swishing slightly. “So? I’m not afraid of the dark.”
Neteyam’s ears flicked upwards along with his tail. “I know” he smiled. “But I don’t want to see you get hurt.”
You sighed… You wanted to say something derogatory to distract him from the real reason you didn’t want him accompanying you. It’s not like you could tell him you wanted the alone time to cool off and maybe shoot a couple of arrows in between gathering. But when you looked into those hopeful, determined eyes of his, you couldn’t lie. Damn him! “Fine. As long as you remember that I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself then you can make yourself useful and help me carry everything.”
You thrusted a satchel bag into his hands. Neteyam snorted and slung it over his shoulder before accepting the large pile of smaller containers that you had woven for this very purpose. You gathered the same equipment for yourself before also armoring yourself with your daggers and bow and arrow.
As you walked, you tried to stay a couple of paces ahead of him, both to show him the way but also to give yourself some space to think. As eclipse slowly set in, his tanhì would illuminate more and more, creating that perfect canvas of speckled light. He had always been so beautiful in the dark, his features somehow more prominent than during the day. Over the years, you had spent many evenings around a campfire with him and his family. Carefully watching him out of the corner of your eye, you had decided that nighttime was his best look.
But you couldn’t think of that right now! If this was going to work, having him accompany you, then it couldn’t be awkward. You had to treat him the same way as you would anyone else helping you. And that meant no ogling! Hence why you were walking ahead of him.
Neteyam walked diligently behind you, not saying much, just following in your footsteps. Eventually you stopped in front of a clearing.
“Here” you pointed towards a patch of green. “See those plants with the rounded leaves?” He nodded, stepping closer to you to observe the plants. “Dig up the roots, clean them and put them in one container. As many as you can fit.”
“What do they do?” he asked curiously as he sunk down to his knees.
“They calm anxiousness” you answered immediately. “They can also help people sleep if prepared properly.”
As Neteyam worked on the roots, you used your knife to gather the same herbs you had boiled earlier today. Neteyam proved to excel at this, like everything else. He quickly filled the woven bag with roots and immediately asked for a new task. You set him to work as much as you could, both to get the work done faster and because you secretly wanted to see that pleased smile whenever he showed you his collection of plants. He was like one of those yellow canines Jake had showed you on a computer once. The ones that existed on earth. He had that same eagerness to please and do well.
It warmed your heart that he genuinely wanted to help. Yet you also had to remind yourself that this eagerness was not singled out for you. He probably wanted to help everyone with the same fervor. He was the next Olo’eyktan, after all. If the people were supposed to follow him, then he had to show he would be there for them with the same loyalty.
But as the evening went on, Neteyam followed you more and more, asking you to tell him about each and every plant you collected. And it was nice to have something to talk about. Something that you could sink into without feeling self-conscious. So, you happily shared your knowledge.
“See this one?” you sat down in front of a plant with thick, pointy stems and sharp edges. “Kiri and I discovered the use of it a while ago. It soothes burns, produces a cooling sensation.” You broke off a piece of the stem and cut it in half. A clear, gel-like liquid oozed out. You collected some on your fingers and you could swear you heard your foraging partner swallow. But before you had time to process whether he did, you reached for his arm to stroke some on it. “Feel that?” you smiled up at him.
“Yeah” he murmured before looking up at you. “That’s incredible.”
“I’m experimenting with it, to see if I can make turn it into an ointment somehow.”
Neteyam looked at you with hooded eyes. “If anyone can, it’s you.”
A blush spread across your cheeks. He had given you so many compliments tonight, it was hard to believe that this wasn’t one of your daydreams. Even harder when you observed the way his tanhì glowed in the moonlight, the way his braids fell to perfectly frame his face, his gentle smile, his golden eyes looking up at you from under his eyelashes again. The urge to be closer to him was overwhelming. Every fibre of your being longed for him, to feel his lips against yours. But you had to stay strong. He was forbidden territory. Kiri’s brother, the future clan leader, and most importantly; he wasn’t interested. And making any kind of move would ruin whatever it was that you two had.
So you cleared your throat and stood up. “After we get some of these, we should be set to head back” you said quietly, turning away from him.
The two of you quickly gathered the last plant and began walking back. But before you had gotten far you stumbled upon some of your favorite materials for making clothing. A small squeal of happiness left your lips as you bent down to scoop up some of the pebbles.
“Do these have a medical purpose?” Neteyam asked you curiously and picked some up himself.
“No” you admitted bashfully, placing the small white pebbles in your bag. “I use them to make beads and other decorations for my chest coverings.”
“Oh…” Neteyam’s eyes flitted downwards for a moment before he bent down to scoop some more pebbles into his hand to examine them further. “Is it hard to make beads out of them?”
“No” you shrugged. “Just time consuming.” Neteyam nodded slowly.
The two of you walked the rest of the way in silence. It had been such a nice evening and you desperately tried to remember that it was simply an outing between friends. You couldn’t get your hopes up over this one thing. He just came along to make sure you didn’t get lost out there…
“Hey” Neteyam stopped you with a hand on your elbow when the village appeared ahead. “Thank you for letting me come with you. I really needed to clear my head for a bit.”
Your ears perked in interest. “Oh?” His mood seemed to have dampened somewhat, judging by the way his eyes suddenly had darkened and his tail swished slightly when he looked at his family’s marui. “Can I ask why?” you probed gently. “Or is it too personal?” Whatever it was, a part of you really wanted, needed, to know.
Neteyam rubbed the back of his neck nervously. “Mom and dad have been trying to have a conversation with me for a couple of days. A conversation I don’t really want to have.” He looked at his home, his cheeks a bit more violet than usual. You nodded gently for him to continue. He cleared his throat and refused to meet your gaze. “They want me to start looking for a mate.”
And just like that, you could feel cracks appearing in your heart. “Oh…” you whispered, now avoiding his gaze, as well. You had always known this day would come, but mentally preparing and being slapped in the face with it were two entirely different things.
“And it’s not that I don’t want a mate” he added hurriedly. “I do. I just don’t want to be rushed into any big decisions. Whoever I mate with will have to burden a lot of responsibility and I don’t want to force that on anyone. I know what’s like to have so much responsibility thrust upon you that you didn’t ask for.”
You nodded slowly, blinking furiously. Tears prickled at the corners of your eyes, but they had to stay away! You would not cry over the news that a friend was supposed to celebrate. Be supportive! “I’m sure whoever it will be will make a great tsahìk one day” you murmured, clutching your bag closer to your chest. “Since we’re here, I can take the bags to the healing hut.”
“I can help you with that!” Neteyam offered immediately, making you want to cry even more. But not now, not yet!
“No, no I’ll be fine” you lied, your voice a lot shakier than you would have liked. “Go home, Neteyam. I’m sure your parents are wondering where you are.” He reluctantly handed you the bag he was carrying. You gave him a forced smile. “Goodbye.”
You started to walk away before he could answer, desperate to get away. He called after you. “Goodbye Emmy!”
The tears finally spilled over. It felt like a ‘goodbye’ in more ways than one…
Let me know what you think!!!
